You are correct, I should have prefaced by stating in affluent countries.

Doesn't every girl want their first to be their last?

Ive seen real love, in a couple of places, at a couple of times, I might have come as close to I can to feeling it for others.

I know its real, I just dont know if it even exists anymore. I think the hippies and the free love movement of the 70's helped kill it, or maybe the cynicism of the punk movement did it in?

Right now though love not just for me, but for alot of my friends seems hard to find? or maybe were expecting way to much of it? maybe love isn't romeo and Juliet, and getting all twiterpated, maybe love is when dealing with somebodies OCD tendencies early in the morning you decide not to club them to death with your shoe.

Shit, these days the closest I come to love is a new box of Hornady showing up at my place :P considering how hard it is to find ammo out there right now :P

The gushyness happens at the start of almost any relationship. It then evolves into being content being with each other. Too often people mistake that as their relationship going stale.

    It's in my signature:

"Love is making a shot to the knees of a target 120 kilometers away using an Aratech sniper rifle with a tri-light scope."

    I both agree, and disagree.

Find a couple that has been married 20-50 years, and ask them if love exist, and I'm certain you will get some very interesting responces.

It's a commitment, yes. But there is emotion. You have gushyness at first, but it matures as you learn your partner. Over time, it grows, and refines into something greater.
