Canon A1000

JohnnyOnTheSpotJohnnyOnTheSpot Banned by request
So my A560 died and they offered me the A1000 for $119.45 Not bad considering its $149 retail. Plus I get 6 months warranty coverage. So Canon FTW!

Anyway what is everyone using lately camera wise?

The A1000 is actually a decent camera, though the sensor is both small and pixel dense, meaning it's going to produce more noisy images than its predecessors. But it works well, otherwise. For the price there's really no better options.

It turns out they put in an order for the SD1000 very misleading...Should I tell them to change the order to the A580 they were offering or tell them they lied.

You say that as if the SD1000 is a bad thing. I like my SD1000. It's nice.

I would have preferred the A1000 though, I enjoyed the features on it.
  • I thought the SD line was better? Even so, I like the AA batteries that the A line uses.

I think in terms of battery life the SD1000 is more consistent and affordable but features wise the A1000 is superior.
