London Firstones Meetup - Star Trek

I had an idea earlier for a Firstones meetup in London on either May 9th or 10 to go see the new Star Trek film.

Looking up easy to get to cinemas at the moment that will be showing it. There are also three Imax cinemas in London that will have it that weekend too :)

Anyone interested?

    As far as I can see there are three Imax cinemas in London that will have Star Trek.

    The BFI at Waterloo (although this is almost completely sold out) and there are two Odeon Imax screens, one at Wimbledon and the other at Greenwich. Wimbledon seems to be easier to get to and there are plenty of seats still available.

    Otherwise there are plenty of regular cinemas, I found this [URL="http://www.londonnet.co.uk/cinema/index.html"]list[/URL].

    Somewhere reasonably central or near an underground station would be ideal. I'm going to suggest Odeon Whiteley's, I've been there before, it's located in a shopping centre just down the road a bit from the station.

    Other suggestions are welcome.

    Well you know I'm game :)

    Imax would be awesome, but I'm not overly bothered if we cant get tickets for it. As for other cinemas, I've got a travelcard for zones 1-4, so I can get around on the trains, tube etc pretty easily.

    There are still plenty of seats at Wimbledon for the Imax. Looks like it's just the two of us so far. Where are Falcon1 and Jambo hiding?

    I also took a [URL="http://www.bathtub-productions.com/stimax.jpg"]screenshot[/URL] of the seat, it's the one with the little person symbol.

    Supposedly the Imax cinema is right next to the Wimbledon train/underground station, so it's easy to get to. There's a shopping centre next to that too, so parking should be available for anyone coming by car.

    I'd be interested but its probably a bit late to book at the imax now. What time showing you going too?

    Ah ok. Won't be able to make it as I have a friends surprise 30th birthday party to go to at lunch time. Oh well maybe when Star Trek Reboot: 2 comes out :)

    Steak is a good idea too, I'll see if there's a good place nearby.
