Total Recall 2070

JohnnyOnTheSpotJohnnyOnTheSpot Banned by request
I remember watching the earlier episodes when it first came out.

Its more like Bladerunner than Total Recall.

Anyone remember this series, with Michael Easton?

Nope, never heard of it. I'll have to check it out. I've been wondering why no one's touched the Blade Runner "franchise" until now considering the TV/movie remakes we have seen lately. Now I know why, it's been done to some degree.

One season consisting of 22 episodes... that's not bad for 1999.

I remember hearing about it, but not watching. Didnt want to ruin my memories of the film.

If I remember right it had a terrible time slot.

I was up late watching it back in 8th grade. lol

Back in the 90s, based on the popularity of Hercules & esp Zena, there was whole bunch of direct to syndication scifi/fantasy shows, some OK, some not so OK. Those I can think of:

    Beastmaster
    Cleopatra 2525
    Total Recall 2070
    Team Knight Rider
    Honey I Shrunk the Kids
    Highlander

Also two Roddenbury properties: Earth: Final Conflict and Andromedia

I saw an episode of this when I was stuck in a hotel between flights. Worst show ever.
Cleopatra 2525
Featuring Zoe!

I think I saw a few of those as well, but I would put it in the same basket as Hercules and Xena. Definitely targeted towards a younger audience.

Ah, Cleopatra 2525, quality show, I followed it. Didnt even realize Zoe was in it until now.. :D

Looks like Cleopatra 2525's scifi theme only serves as an excuse to dress the "actresses" in skimpy clothes. :D (Not that this constitutes a bad thing...)
  • MessiahMessiah Failed Experiment
Thats actually one of its qualities, except for the intro song.

Cool, I've spotted a Cylon in Total Recall 2070's first episode. :D (Number Five, Aaron Doral played by Matthew Bennett)

They even managed to get an Eddy Olmos look-alike into the show. Awesome!! :D

So far so good, see this show is doing it right from the start. Not sure how long Kings and Dollhouse are going to run, but TR2070 didn't pull any punches. Considering how well the SFX hold up to what you see today, it probably wasn't cheap to produce.

Note that they use a Vangelis like soundtrack?

And if I'm not mistaken that is RICK DECKARDS GUN!

    Still watching Stingray?

I really love Farve, spot on with the android personality. Just like data IMHO.

Well, I finished watching the entire show a while ago. I didn't try to figure out why this show only lasted one season, because it's at least as good as Babylon 5 was back then. I guess people don't know a great show when they see (or don't see) it.

I agree, in a way Farve was the star of the show. I would have liked to see more. Not sure what's so appealing to a mechanical mind which is trying to be more human when we all know that being human is not all it's cracked up to be. :D
