Since all three of you like trains so much, has anyone of you tried any of those trains simulations you can buy for the PC yet?
I tried to play Railroad Tycoon 2 for some time now, but I never get past the railroad track laying part before I get distracted by other games.
Or do all of you have a miniature railroad set taking up most of your attic space? :D

Railroad Tycoon is more of a business simulator than a true train simulator. You have to deal with the business side of things, which is something you don't have to worry about really for a model railroad. :)
This and this are train simulators, and this does both train simulation and model railroad simulation. You'll note that two of those are Japanese. Yes, they are obsessive.
Nice... I may have to check Trainz 2009 out (when it is released, that is)... I'm not really a business sim kind of gamer, but I like just about any other simulation. Still waiting on the next helicopter sim.

Trainz is very good. It's very flexible and there's a wide range of content available, both 1st and 3rd party.
A Firefly veteran is going to show up in Dollhouse after all. (Spoiler Alert!)
Random ChaosActually Carefully-selected Order in disguise
I've played around a little with Trainz - my dad owns it. It works on Parallels 4.0 without a problem so far.
Yes, Spoiler: and what was with that 'wave off' that Echo gave Sierra at the end? It means they both remember something, right? Also, learning that FBI Helo's contact is part of the dollhouse...is his persona there just to keep FBI Helo guessing?! They are actually starting to raise some interesting questions!
[sp]That look caught my wife and I off guard also and it begs the question did Echo follow her programing in her "solution" to the probelm or was she responding so something deeper?
Also, Victor as an active also explains why he didn't do anything to the FBI agent's neighbor, since its very likely she's an active also.[/sp]
Show continues to get more interesting with each ep.
I am thinking that Agent Ballard has a lot more backstory to be told...[sp] given how he was a such a match for Echo in hand-to-hand. His training must extend beyond the FBI.
Of course, the major question from this ep is who programed Echo, and is what she said legit, or an attempt to lead Ballard astray. Of course DeWitt confirmed some of what Echo stated, so who knows? I wonder DeWitt may be suspicious of her superiors' motives and is leading Ballard in attempt to find out...[/sp]
It's got to be someone with the knowledge of how to program the dolls but I think the two people we see doing that aren't likely suspects. The guy doesn't seem to have any moral object to it and the assistant just seems to be a sheep doing his bidding because he's too lazy to get food.
DeWitt and Dr Saunders are the most likely suspects in my mind.
Well, remember, (I have to start learning their names... wiki says...) Boyd stole Topher away from his desk for a couple minutes, leaving Echo's imprint unattended in what seemed like a very, very obvious opening for sabotage. So that lends some credence to the idea that what Echo told Ballard about having a secret sub-mission was on the level. It also means that the inside man (or men) might be or include Boyd.
I am still thinking that DeWitt may be the source of the leak to Ballard. She seems to be sincere (or trying to convince her sell anyway) about the Dollhouse's purpose.
My understanding is that Episode 13 isn't really related to Dollhouse, it just uses the same sets but the plot is something else. At least that's interpretation of what Joss said last night.
However he also said he thought a second season was unlikely but he still has some hope.
Stupid Heads. On both counts. Cancel Fringe and there won't really be anything for me to watch on FOX anymore. Except for my vice-like addiction to the Sunday cartoons. Wish I could break it, because FOX hasn't really deserved my support for some time.
Apparently that article about TSCC is fake and I'm being pointed toward this one as a more accurate description of where things stand at the moment.

I finally got round to seeing Dollshouse when Sci Fi ran a few saturday night marathons (over a month ago). I have to say it took me a while to get into it. It got better towards the end and the final episode was really interesting. However it still doesn't feel quite right. Its certainly no Firefly. For me there's no character that really interests me. And I just feel that Eliza Duskhu is not great as a lead. Every time I saw an episode I kept thinking of Tru Calling which spoiled it really. Just couldn't shake it.
I'll still watch it when it comes back on air but I'm not 100% sold on it. Come on Josh bring back the magic.
It's not Joss' greatest work but it has interesting ideas behind it. Luckily FOX have said they will air all 13 episodes of the second season and Joss is planning to tie up all the story threads before the end.
I kinda wish they'd followed on directly from Felicia Day's episode, although supposedly we'll see more of that soon.

Also written by two of the people involved with Dr Horrible.

Can't say I'm surprised, since they canned better shows.
