• some day the team i am cheering for will win the superbowl. 8th time in a row that my team lost :/

if they had only sacked him in the last 2 minutes when he was throwing from the 1 yard line it'd have been soooooooo cool :)

They played a well played game. Solid throughout. Despite the touchdown, they handled Fitzgerald amazingly well. The Cardinals in the first half, played like a team that had never been to a Superbowl.

I wanted the Cards to win, given their lack of previous wins and the Steelers 5 Lombardi Trophies. But they played the better game.

The Steelers final touchdown in the back corner of the end zone, tip toes on the turf was a great way for a defensive team to outshine the best wide receiver in football.

That being, Im depressed now. No football till fall. All I got to look forward to in the next couple of months is free agency and the draft. And knowing my team (Packers) Ted Thompson will do practically nothing in Free Agency and trade most of our high picks away to get extra ones. The only real hope is our new defensive coordinator Dom Capers is probably going to switch our defense to the same 3-4 style the Steelers play, that might incite some new strategy from Ted, because we don't currently have the personal to put a 3-4 on the field. We need a solid nose tackle, another speed rusher, and a quality linebacker, and that doesn't even begin to describe our offensive needs (lineman, QUALITY RB).
• Instead of fatso Ben, I think Larry Fitzgerald was more valuable player and the Lombardi trophy could've been given to Cardinals, despite of their numerous mistakes during the game. An exciting game, though.

"The bloody Cardies can't be trusted."

P.S. I wonder if John McCain is a Cardinals fan... it's a sort of cold irony that a representative of Arizona has lost the most important game twice within a couple of months.

McCain is a huge Cardinals fan. :D
• I think Obama is as well
• ...or perhaps not? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SmiZs2stDRQ
• obama is steelers yes, he said he will be watching and cheering for them but that his presidential status will not have any influence on the outcome of the game :p he will be double happy - after all, he invited the winning team into the white house.

and i agree, fitzgerald should have been mvp. he was mighty frustrated at some point because he didn't get the ball but when he did, man he can run damn fast!

I stayed up to watch it for the first time. Have to say I did rather enjoy it, even though we never get to see much of it in this country. Its something of a niche sport at best here. I'd watch again and more if it were more widely covered here now.

Have to admit I dont understand all the rules and terms being banded about :)

Huh? What is a superbowl? Does this have something to do with your american toned-down rugby you call football (which is another game entirely)?
