So this year, Callista and I managed to settle into a new apartment, and at the same time we found ourselves stuck in Rochester this year. So instead of being lame, we stumbled onto a deal at the now out-of-business Linens'n'Things, picking up a beautiful fake Christmas tree for a real bargain. So we set it up and realized it was the perfect time for a non-conventional Christmas. With luck, this is the start of a tradition.

So for now, it's done, the gallery is up! Party time will ensue!

It may not quite be the most refined form of geekdom, but it is certainly getting there! A few more years down the road and a couple dozen more acquisitions and we'll be in perfect geekdom territory!

Ornaments include: Hot Wheels/Matchbox cars, Hasbro Titanium Series Die-Cast 3" starships, Hallmark Star Trek ornaments, and a box of Star Trek Pez dispensers. Miscellaneous other objects are scattered around.

Actually, blame my parents for the gifts. Since I wasn't able to go home, they shipped the goods to Callista and I.

Jack, they're cheap! :D $6 is about the going price for one (One third the cost of a cheap Hallmark ornament), and they can often be found on ebay for less. I might even be able to scrounge up a spare if you ask nicely enough :D

My dad has all of the Hallmark Star Trek ship ornaments. He missed the first year, and it took my mom and I a couple of months searching on ebay one year to get it for him.

Its a lot of freaking ornaments.

That Alfa better get moving, the last thing you want during the holidays is to get pulled over by a Star Destroyer...

  • If that's supposed to be the geekiest Christmas tree ever, why isn't there a Death Star (mk1 or mk2) on top of it...?

There is an enterprise on the bookshelf. Though the saucer looks odd.

One will eventually be fabricated. At the moment, no such model exists within my home, making for a lacking experience.

In this particular instance, the Alfa has a slight mass advantage over the Star Destroyers. I think there is not much to fear on its part.
