Wow. And it was just announced that she'd be doing the voice of the computer on the new Star Trek movie.

She will be missed. I remember her best as Deanna Troi's annoying mother on ST:TNG. :)

I don't think she will be forgotten for as long as there's a ship computer voice on the Enterprise.
She also voiced the ship's computer in the latest "Star Trek" film, which is due out next year.
So we'll get to hear her one last time in the new film after all. ;)

Yeah, aparently she had JUST finished doing the voiceover work!

Yeah very sad, but fitting that she just manage to carry on the legacy into the new incarnation of Trek

I'm glad she's in the new movie. I wonder if they'll dedicate it to her memory, they should do.

It's a shame she didn't get to actually see it completed.

I, oddly (because it was just a once-off appearance vs hundreds), remember her best for her role in B5, where I think she was brilliant and utilised far better than as the voice of a computer.

I was just thinking the same Biggles. She was also a major supporter of Babylon 5. I hope her final days were not in pain.
• :(

Bad times. I wonder if her ashes will be sent into space like her hubby's?

She will be missed. She always had a motherly aurora about her on screen. :)

that she did
• My wife and I have enjoyed getting to know her as the nurse in TOS (we're on Season 3, first time through)...

...but I will always remember her best as Lady Morella.

:(

Somebody said something about her being the most motherly figure on tele...I agree...Deanna Troi...Londo Mollari...And mother to the enterprise...

Farewell!
• StingrayStingray Elite Ranger
Indeed, she played Lady Morella on Babylon 5. I guess it's time for yet another B5 Marathon.

I'd completely forgotten about her role on B5.

Obviously you haven't seen her play as the Betazoid ambassadress. :D

She was absolutely hilarious!!

I have, and yes she was (mostly on DS9, her TNG roles were as much pain-inducing due to poor writing as they were entertaining). I still think she was far better on B5 though, where it was a much more dramatic role.

Actually I very nearly wrote exactly the same as you Biggles, I just went for a short post instead. But I agree, if I think of any of her roles it is that of Lady Morella that comes to mind first, probably because B5 is just such a good example of what actors can achieve if they have a truly great script to work with

Sad news indeed, she will be missed. She was one of the few actors to cross the bridge between Trek and B5 (not forgetting Mr Bester though of course). I remember reading that she liked the idea of bringing B5 and Trek fans closer. Even though the episodes she did on TNG had a big element of cheese, her interactions with Picard were great, even seeing them now I chuckle when he squirms at the sound of her voice. The episode where he declares his love for her to fend of the Ferengi was hilarious.

Honestly I would have expected more from the interaction between Londo and Lady Morella. She would have been great as Timov, Londo's 3rd (2nd, 1st?) wife. :D

Yeah she would have Stingray, but it was also great to see her play a role that had gravitas too
