Zero-G in "In the Beginning"?

I was watching "In the Beginning" again last night, and noticed that during Sheridan's battle with the Black Star there is a shot where he lets go of whatever he was holding and it floats away. Does anyone know if that was an actual zero-g shot or some effect done in the studio? I was under the impression that it's expensive to film zero-g - as it's usually done in a Nasa KC135 (aka Vomit Comet), as that's how (I believe) they filmed Apollo 13. Anyways, if anyone knows please post!

As for Apollo 13: Yes, that was filmed in the vomit comet. If you watch it you can see that all the takes are really really short.

It was my understanding they had the Nasa kc135 tied up for Apollo 13 for at least 6 months with filming. Can't imagine how much that costs!
That's not quite true.
The crew of Apollo 13 flew somewhere between 500 and 600 parabolic arcs (multiple arcs per flight) in the Vomit Comet. But it only took (coincidentally) 13 days to do so.
