Actually, they have been every 1.5 years +/- 3 months. Last one was summer, so this one should be winter. Annoying.

Why did they move it so much later? Do they have a bunch of low-quality block busters due at Christmas they don't want to conflict with?

No, they want people to download a pre-release screener from the web to raise the hype factor.

Biggles: Because Dark Knight brought in so much money in 2008 and, due to the writers strike, they have a dismal 2009 planned. It's money, pure and simple.

Meh, Michael Gambon kind of ruins these movies for me...

    Just curious as to why?

I think like his Dumbledore a bit more than Harris.

Its just my opinion, but i dont think he fits the roll, My idea of Dumbledore from the books is much more like Harris's than Gambons, I"m sure he's a fine actor and a hell of a guy, But, i really dont like him in the roll.

He just seems a bit too, uhh, i dont even know what the word i'm looking for is, but Dumbledore in the books, struck me as a bit flighty and slightly bumbling, until he needed to be "THAT GUY" then he'd just turn into an uberwizard.
  • I think they both portray different qualities of Dumbledore equally well. Harris had the definite flightyness and a great feeling of whimsy that Dumbledore in the books definitely had whenever he wasn't being a bad ass, and Gambon has the bad ass down pretty well.

I do kind of wish Harris was still around to keep up the role though, as I'm sure he could probably pull off both aspects equally well.

Harris's Dumbledore is definitely more how I pictured him in the books up until about number 4, but Gambon's Dumbledore is more in line with how I pictured him once the books start to become darker.
