Just wait 20 years for the Final Cut, that's really going to kick ass.

Anyone seen Ridley Scott's final honest to goodness final director's cut of Blade Runner yet? I haven't and I'm wondering what he could possibly have added to it that would make it worth checking out...

As for Dark City, I'll have to check, I got a special version of it where Roger Ebert has a comment track on it for the entire duration of the movie. It's a great film and I have to see it again some time.

I seem to recall going over the Blade Runner final cut in IRC. [sp]Basically, nothing much is added/removed from the director's cut. If you don't have a copy yet and want one, it's the one to get, otherwise it's probably more of a rental.[/sp]

Have never seen or heard of a dc of Dark City. Sure would be cool, one of my favorite films.

I have the uber cool Blade Runner boxset but haven't got round to watching anything on it. One of these weekends I'll get it on. I bought a 42" Panasonic plasma a month ago so I ought to check out how good it looks on it.

I would still love to see a Blade Runner TV series... if they were able to reinvent BSG, they could bring back replicants and spinners... flying cars, how about that? :D

Just bumping this one to say I finally watched the directors cut of Blade Runner last night.

It was visually stunning!!! I was really taken by surprise at how good it looked. For such an old film the transfer was simply immaculate. Not a blemish in sight and the colours were rich, vibrant and sharp. The city scape shots are just jaw dropping.

It just goes to show that if a studio does it right and spends the money, they can make an old film look brand new again.

There was a Total Recall TV series that only lasted one season I think...I liked it, it was sort of Blade Runneresque.

Falcon1, you mean the Director's Cut or the Final Cut?
