self-surgery?

Lord RefaLord Refa Creepy, but in a good way
You ever practice that?

What do you use anesthetic?

Generally.. I dont use those. And instead of alcohol i use some kind of disinfectants to clean the wound. I hate wasting a good drink.

Oh goody.. Still 4 hours and 30 mins of my shift left, then only 3 more nights.

And now, if you found out you were dying or that you had a disease that would either kill you or turn your life upside down.. Would you try to do something really dangerous and in a sense horrible. Call it a "terrorist" attack or whatever, and try to get through without being ever caught.. Creating a new Jack the Ripper for example.

Is this the right board?

I dont know you! Why are you wearing those white jackets?

NO! NO!! I dont want to! I dont want to wear that jacket! NO!

Exactly how would a killing spree help you beat a fatal disease that's already infected your body?

Haven't you ever played Blood Omen?
  • Lord RefaLord Refa Creepy, but in a good way
It wouldnt help it.. but it would be fun. :)
  • Lord RefaLord Refa Creepy, but in a good way
Wait what? I have played Blood Omen, but I dont remember enough.. Please explain further. :)

Oh, I was referring to Eclecticonaut's post. About how being a mass murderer can save your life. If you're a vampire of course... And Kain didn't have a fatal disease, he was stabbed through the heart with a sword. You've actually played that game Lord Refa? Vae victis!
  • Lord RefaLord Refa Creepy, but in a good way
I have played all the sequels too.. The good ones and the bad ones. :)
  • DarthCaligulaDarthCaligula Elite Ranger
Wow. I have too. Soul Reaver is one of the coolest games I've ever played. I sure wish there was another game like that...
  • Lord RefaLord Refa Creepy, but in a good way
Yup. I dunno, but I really liked the story lines they had going there.. And the music and all. I might not have agreed with some of the game mechanics in all of them, but they were still fun to play.

    Soul Reaver was fantastic.
Now, now, tell us whats wrong and we might be able to help you. Is it brain surgery youre performing?
  • Lord RefaLord Refa Creepy, but in a good way
Never on my own. Thanks. Not after the last time. I still ... Where was i?

Nothings wrong actually. There's a lump of grease or whatever lodged inside my skin but using ointments to take care of that. I guess working quite a few night 12 hour night shift with less sleep does affect a bit. But next week, 18 days of vacation. So there will be a drunken thread at some point.

Self surgery is a bad idea. I'm too lazy to go look for them, but there's a whole stack of images somewhere of these things when they go wrong and then come through A&E (the ER to those across the pond) to be x-rayed to see if their penis is salvageable. Almost funny from where I'm standing :D

If anyone has any complaints about my equipment, they can walk away dammit.

Shitfaced and giggling? Aye... That's a terrible terrible terrible outcome of weak mind against the dangers of Mary Jane.

I cant say that I ever had much effect from it. The few times I've tried that is. I just keep slipping back to the bottle.

Messiah: Well, let's just say that I had a very bad day. Know the feeling when some small thing can irritate the hell out of you when everything else's haywire? One of those days, bad ones.

Quite an interesting experience in the end. Maybe not the smartest choice, but gave some insight on the matter of how I view flesh. Also, seeing yourself bleed in spades and being simply practical about it was an interesting feeling to boot. "Hmm. Rinse, clean, disinfect, rinse, apply pressure." Also, there's something strangely satisfying in sloooooowly surpassing your pain threshold and hearing the flesh tear.

It was around the time when I was reading for the Uni entrance exams, and afterwards I remember sitting on the can, rolling the chunk around in me' hands and thinking about writing an "Ode to the lump of flesh I ripped off my left testicle". Then I thought that that would be considered too Douglas Adams and dropped the idea.

I think I'm quite normal, btw. Honest. :)

    Reading that hurt.

Yeah its interesting the things we to to ourselves. Ive never had an urge to cut anything off, but I am considering cutting off half of a fingernail (the part in the finger where it grows from) thats irritating the hell out of me. Well see, if I bother my brother enough, maybe hell just cut it off, he does have the training..
