""Dark Horizon follows along the same lines of classics like Wing Commander and Freelancer, and it will be a great addition to our portfolio this year"
I dont like the "Freelancer" part though. "classics like Wing Commander and Starlancer" would be a LOT better.

There doesn't seem to be any decent helicopter simulation on the market right now either. At least none that I'm aware of that is any good.
Btw, just when I clicked that game link, AntiVir Guard warned about a Java virus.
This comes from the developers of Lock On: Modern Air Combat, and focuses on the Russian Ka-50 Black Shark attack helicopter.

I hope they don't make the same mistake as was committed with Falcon 4 which ended in an overambitious mess which took years to fix.
Having done some soaring myself in the past, I can attest to the realism of "game" as it was designed by and with the help of soaring enthusiasts. I haven't tried the multi-player aspect yet as I need more practice. As in real life, the hard part is still the efficient use of thermals to gain altitude.
It's nice to see still a few independent software developers who can produce little gems like this.
