Looking for a program to burn video movies..

Looking for a free program to make simple dvd movies. Basically, I have avi that I want turned into simple dvd movie. No need for anything else than to it start playing when I put in the machine.

I got Nero on this pc, but it wont allow me to make movies from divx files which sucks. Had one at home that did.. damned.

So, instead of using haxored products, looking for a free one.. if there is any such things?

    On Windows, software to do that can be pretty difficult to find thanks to the licensing restrictions on MPEG2 encoders. On Linux, on the other hand... If you can get your hands on a Linux computer, I highly recommend tovid.

    I recommend [URL="http://tmpgenc.pegasys-inc.com/en/product/tda20.html"]TMPGEnc DVD Author[/URL], it does exactly what you want, supports just about any type of video format and is pretty easy to use. It's handy for generating menus quickly as well and you can customise them as you wish.
