Oddly enough, I can't seem to find your specific model in that list. :D

There are several that come close to your configuration like the F3Ke.

I guess yours fell off the truck and is a FaKe. ;)

I got this one from taiwan, and it was on the taiwanese website at the time.. Couldnt find it when I was checking out today tho.

Ofcourse, its not as easy as it might be looking for in from a chinese website when you dont read the language. :P

That's pretty much the same. Except for one of the USB slots thats used for the digital antenna instead.

But... which of those ports is the one I should be using to connect to tv with?

TV-out (aka s-video?) or VGA? I doubt DVI-D works as one...

Here's the tv's I am thinking of acquiring. One of them that is..

That's the cheapest one, but looks pretty good imho.. Just the colour is off.. but screw that.

Too many damn possibilities. Just looking for one that I can plug my laptop in so I can watch porn in my future porn dungeon... with the tentacled school girls.. and play some games too.
  • RubberEagleRubberEagle What's a rubber eagle used for, anyway?
Well, if you wanna connect it to an LCD TV, you should use either VGA or, deppending on the TV, a DVI-HDMI cable. That way the notebook can use the full resolution of the Display (though some displays only accept standard TV resolutions (480i/p, 576 i/p, 720p, 1280i/p) through HDMI)

    Ports, left to right:

    - USB
    - Not good picture - is it a banana plug or a RCA plug? If it's a banana, it is audio; if it's RCA, it's TV in (or out).
    - Looks like mini-Firewire
    - SVideo out (based on the TV label, it's out, not in)
    - DVI (no-analog part because it's missing the 4 analog pins on the right)
    - Analog Video (why didn't they just incorporate it into the DVI plug by adding the 4 analog pins?)
    - Modem
    - Ethernet

The one you could not identify.. its sort of some special plug they have for the digital/terrestrial antenna I have. Basically, I can watch tv from my laptop.. Got this handy lil digital antenna type stuff when I bought it. It came with an extra cord thingy to which I could basically plug a normal on-the-roof antenna as well.. but I prefer using the digital one if I need.

40 channels if in a good spot in Greenock, Scotland.

The 3rd from the left is definitely firewire. It says "1394" below it. The rest are as RC said.

So.. analog video is my best choice in getting the best quality from my laptop to the tv screen?

Any experiences with those bunch of tvs I got there? :)
  • Random ChaosRandom Chaos Actually Carefully-selected Order in disguise
No - DVI to HDMI is the best, if your TV can take it. Next to that, SVideo and Analog are about the same. SVideo goes up to 1024x768.
  • Lord RefaLord Refa Creepy, but in a good way
aye. I knew that.. Just wasnt sure if my laptop had the balls for it. :)

Tried to read about those DVI things but there were so many options.. Better do it again at home when got better view on those ports.

    RC nailed it down ,
With HDMI too DVI-D or DVI-D too HDMI you will need a seperate sound source. Any optical outputs?
  • Lord RefaLord Refa Creepy, but in a good way
    Optical outputs? Say what?
  • PSI-KILLERPSI-KILLER Needs help
    oh wait never mind
