Creepy, but in a good way

It's true..
I have to make these calls during the night shift, to north america.. and I always call the canadians on my list first. Why? Because so far, they've been always cheerfull and helpfull when I've called. Always had the time to answer my questions if I have reached them.. and always, always known the correct phone etiquette.. :P
Good thing I dont need to call to Finland. If the calls we get from there are any implication on their etiquette skills.

Call anyone in my neck of the woods? Nova Scotia?
What do you call about?
I dont know where they are.. where I call.. Just that it's in canada. :D
And if you really wanna scare em ask em if they have a clearance code.
No.. I have to call these IBM business partners to ask how they feel about some service or whatnot that IBM pays for some other company to provide.
And I am not calling any "regular" people.. these are salesmen.. so they deserve all the shit they be getting. :P
Heh, it paid $11 an hour which, in the year 1999 wasn't something to sneeze at, and worked easily around school schedules so it attracted a lot of students who needed money.
But yeah it was a joke. I went home crying more than once because people could be so unbelievable evil, such as calling me every disgusting cuss word in the book and getting very personal. To me, doing something horrible like that to a caller is the same as punching a cashier in the face because something rang up the wrong price. I've been a cashier for 7 years at various places and I can tell you how little power we have over our jobs and what we're made to do if we want to keep our jobs. It's ridiculous. I still get annoyed if I get a telemarketer, but I'm always polite because I know how much is being forced on them by their bosses. If you don't believe me, I can give you pages of examples of things done to me.
I can't drive. I have no car. Quit calling!
