BABYLON 1-3
Hi there.
Does anyone know if any designs were made for the BABYLON stations 1-3? I know 1 is shown briefly in IN THE BEGINNING, with a red colour scheme. JMS posted "They went in spectrum order, from red, a coule of interim colors I can't remember, to green, to blue". Does anyone have any ideas/art/info on the other stations? Cheers.

The stations aren't online, but it looks like Eternity has some info on them that he can upload...

I've seen Eternity's great work on the B1 model, there was a post by Eternity on B3 on the Artwork bit; and going through previous posts JMS made reference to the original three stations would have looked something like what B4 ended up being, but not as big, since they incorporated ion engines. Even so, it leaves a lot of room for speculation as to what they could have ended up being. I'm especially interested in B3 as my friend and I are developing a web comic on a story that incorporates the fate of B3 to make way for B4, so I'm trying to do as much research as possible. Eternity, if you're out there, do you still have your work on B3? I'd love to see what you did.
Thanks again.

[b]Anything you find will only be fan-made, since nothing official was ever made for the first three stations other than what's seen in In the Beginning.

Wait a minute, don't we see shots of B 1-4 when Jinxo is telling Aldus about them in "Grail" ?

Why do people keep thinking that?

We are here to place President Grenewetzki under arrest!
Thankfully Eternity has got back to us about his designs, but still looking for as many ideas as possible.
I realise anything found will be fanfiction, but still nice to do some speculation.

Cause i thought for sure we saw imgaes of them going boom,
How many times do I have to say that Babylon 3 was made by Tachy??? This is HIS mesh (see image below)

I am going to make a B2 mesh (Orange) after I have finished texturing the Babylon Station - I am up to the fighter bays, working forward. Not long now!
If you have any input for B2 I ahve started a thread here at beyondbabylon.

Catch ya there!
Now, here is the more important question to me...how did B 1-3 explode?
I have my own theory..
I think Zathrus did it...the one line where he says "Zathrus was sent to take the biggest of the babylon stations, and so that is what I am doing"... I think the great machine had something to do with the first 3 blowing up, since it is essentally outside time and knew they would build the biggest one fourth..

[b]you see B1 at some point, it looked like b5, but red paint (cheap blue/red swap on the texture, same model)

I really don't think that's likely.

bit of long link that really.
there was no images of b1 in GRAIL that i could see, only that brief explosion in IN THE BEGINNING. I can't help shaking the notion though i've seen a babylon station in yellow, before i saw Eternity's designs. It must have been a few years ago now.
One of the first 3 stations (Babylon Station I think) blew up due to a structural failure.
Tachy's B3 was yellow. I posted an image above.
I also came across a thumbnail of a hypothetical B3 design - dam it was BIG!!! Now the big image was bust and it was a low poly mesh but there is some info. Might do it as a B2. image was er this

"Babylon 5 was almost never made due to budget constraints, and it wasnt until the other alien government (specifically Mimbari) pitched in that it was finalized. B5 is much smaller than its predecessors..."
Or something along those lines.
