Uncensored Neon Genesis Evangelion?

I'm not sure if anyone else here is a fan of Evangelion, but I was wondering if anyone knew if it was true that the uncensored version of this show was going to be released in the US. I remember hearing about this a year ago, but I can't really seem to find any information on it (though Evangelion hentai came up in the results, as you'd expect). I have seen the movies uncensored, but not the censored US version. I heard that stuff like Rei and Asuka's nipples were edited out, and that the scene when Shinji masturbates to Asuka while she's in a coma was edited as well. I also heard that in the show they changed quite a bit.
So, anyone have a clue?

    I really don't know what to say. I don't see where your problem is? Do you required translation of the censored parts? :D What parts of the cartoon orgasm didn't you understand? :laugh:

    Yeah, I know how weird what I typed looks. There are actually bigger things than what I've mentioned that were in the series though, like a character that actually dies at one point (and the gruesome murder of him that was edited), and how in the translation, it suggests he's alive (I watch with subtitles, but I don't know enough Japanese to completely understand what they're actually saying at that point). There's supposed to be other parts in the series that were changed also, but I can't remember all of them.

    Perhaps you're referring to the director's cut of the series? That's been out in the US for many years now.

    Is that the same thing? I have seen the director's cut of I think the final few episodes. Showing things like Gendo's hand and when Kaoru talks to SEELE out in the middle of the lake. Are you referring to something else, that has ALL the stuff that was taken out put back in?

    I'm not sure what this "ALL the stuff" you're referring to is. As I understand it, the director's cut released in the US is the best that was ever released in Japan as well (it was released on laser disc there).

    What I mean is that the Director's Cut episodes I saw where only the last episodes (I can't remember how many, but I seem to remember the episode with Eva 03 wasn't there). Are you saying that every single episode was released in the US like this?

    There are director's cuts of episodes 21-26. Only episodes 21-24 have any substantial new footage. To my knowledge, there are no director's cuts of any other episodes.
