Spoiler: The german Daleks were great. I enjoyed the episode and the only thing that annoyed me was Donna being reset. Haven't we had enough of those? She should have died (and I'm not just saying that because I don't like her, it would have been a more dramatic end).
I have no problems with Martha and Mickey joining Torchwood.
As for Gallifrey, there are 4 specials coming up. RTD is still involved with all 4. It's not until series 5 that Moffat takes over.
Did anyone see the preview for the Christmas special after the credits?
[spec=joke based on Christmas teaser]"Had enough of your limited human body? don't want to get sick anymore? then the upgrade chair is the perfect Christmas gift for you! although extremely painful, the process removes your brain and encases it in a suit of metal armour that can withstand all but the most deadly assault. get one now and upgrade the entire family! all orders will be hand delivered on Christmas day by one of our already upgraded Cybermen units" [/spec]
RubberEagleWhat's a rubber eagle used for, anyway?
Ok, so it seems firstones wasn't down, i just couldn't access it from home... weird...
[SP]loved the episode. Though i think the most faithful companion that dies is in fact Doctor No2 (sometime in the future). The whole german part was nice. As someone whose native tongue is german, i'm always astounded how bad some of the "german" in english-language TV-shows sounds. Here, not only was the pronounciation reasonably good (especially the daleks. huge props to Nick Briggs), but the dialogue it self was gramatically correct!
Also, it was good how every character has a role to play, no one is there just so he's on screen (except maybe K9), Though Martha AGAIN is on her own for most of the 2 episodes... And looking forward to Torchwood.
A few nitpicks:
*)If the doctor has this bond to the Tardis and is supposed to feel when it's destroyed, how come he doesn't feel it not beeing destroyed?
*)Could Dalek Caan really plan the destruction of the daleks? He's the one that killed Sec for becoming too human...
Though I'm not sure about the Cybermen in the christmas special... Kinda looked like they were in a victorian timeframe...
Also, reall don't like the 3D text (like in the "To be continued" in episode 2, or in the Christmas special teaser)

BigglesThe Man Without a Face
[sp]Also welcomed: the continuation of the "yes, I/we know who you are" running gag. :D[/sp]
Spoiler: I agree with you about Donna. Would have been better dramatically if they killed her. I would have been very okay with them killing her if it was some kind of sacrificial act that brought back Gallifrey
Callista:
Spoiler: I don't think bringing back Gallifrey would have been too much of a reset button. The door was opened by Caan saving Davros. Not only did Caan cross his own timeline, he broke a time-lock...somehow. If one "simple" Dalek can do that, it stands to reason that, with an engine made out of 27 planets, something would be possible.
Besides, it's not like the Doctor would forget destroying his own race. Gallifrey might even exile him (again) for what he did, making him even lonlier - he saved his people, but they don't want him back...
And how much more would we have admired Donna if the Doctor had tried to save her, and instead she refused and, since her mind was going anyway, she went back into the time war and saved Gallifrey? She paid the price of insanity like Caan to give the Doctor's people a future. Then people would really be singing songs to her!
Worf again:
Spoiler: Though as much as I was wishing for Gallifrey to come back, I hope you're wrong about the possibility he'll do it in one of the specials. I think a reset button of that magnitude should only be pressed in a situation approaching the epicness of the Time War. For that, you almost need Daleks, and I don't think he's going to bring them back again.
