Spoiler: Okay, is there anyone to whom it did not occur that the first time the Doctor met Professor River Song might be the last time that they ever saw each other again?
It was still a fantastic episode, only slightly more predictible than the first.
Spoiler: WELL now! Moffat really does like to tease us about the Doctor's past and loves. I suppose we'll never know what really ends up happening between them, though I suppose it's sort of obvious. Goddamn you Steven! ;)
I thought it was really, really good. As usual. :)
Vertigo: I don't know about that, Spoiler: the way she talked she sounded like she might have known him in a different regeneration and just knew what he looked like previously.
RubberEagleWhat's a rubber eagle used for, anyway?
Spoiler: In "Silence in the Library", in the scene where River Song tries to find out where the Doctor is on his timeline, she references his face...
Spoiler: I liked how she how she only appeared in today's episode for about a minute or two. Actually it was a fairly unique but rather good story, the kind of thing you want to watch before getting on a plane. It seems they're going for monsters you don't actually see to make them scarier, it was done with Torchwood earlier this year too. Let's hope they don't get too addicted to doing that because they shouldn't over do it. Only three episodes left :(
I really liked this week's episode as well, Russell really can be a very good writer sometimes.

90% of the episode in one set, no vfx to speak of (just 2 or 3 matte paintings).... looks like they're saving money for something big :D
Speculation:Probably for the massive Dalek invasion in the series finale...
Really? I liked it as a character study and a clever way to save money on sets and effects. The lady that played Skye was really good.
BigglesThe Man Without a Face
I thought it was a midly interesting character study that had the potential to be a very interesting character study, had most of the characters actually been different from eachother and more than panicy cardboard cutouts, and had it been a lot longer.
Episode 11 Spoiler: So this week's episode was the opposite of last week's, focusing entirely on Donna and giving the Doctor only a minor part at the start and finish. Amazingly it was a brilliant episode, the story was great and it was interesting to revisit the last two years. The references to Torchwood and the Sarah Jane Adventures were interesting as well.
Donna died! WOO! Only temporarily, I think she'll die again though.
Bad Wolf and the end of the universe. This should be fun!
Additional thought: Rose wasn't acting like Rose, if anything she was more like a Time Lord (Lady? I don't think that was ever covered). I wonder, maybe she is one and always has been. We know Time Lords can make themselves human, so it's possible. Perhaps she's Romana?
I agree with Worf on this week's episode except Spoiler: I don't think Rose is a Time Lady. We don't know how much has happened to her since going over to the other side. She may have just have been through hell and matured a whole ton and changed a lot, like Martha did.
As for next week.....OMG I'm so flippin excited!!!! Spoiler: Freaking EVERYONE is in the finale! I thought it was just going to be Martha, Rose, Jack and maybe Sarah but the Torchwood gang is there AND Sarah's kid friends! This is going to be soooo epic!! OMG I can't wait to see the Doctor and Rose meet again!! SQUEEEEEE!!!!
Callista: Spoiler: What got me thinkiing about it is how she didn't reveal her name, saying that the wrong word in the wrong place can change events, which is very mysterious and cryptic...and also not needed if she is just Rose. The audience knows who she is, it's not going to make any difference to Donna if she knows her name and the Doctor figured it out pretty quickly at the end.
It was also interesting how she seemed to know so much about the end of the universe (before the Doctor for that matter) and I got the distinct impression she's the one who built the time machine (or at least designed it). That's not something Rose could have done.
I guess we'll find out in a week or two...which is painfully long!

Brilliant! Spoiler: At the end, when there was bad wolf everywhere, even on the tardis, i was laughing (from excitement) so hard, i still have tears in my eyes!
i'm curious what it is about donna that they're hinting at.
And having the whole doctor who universe united next week sounds exciting:D

No kidding, especially when between now and then I have to do this big project for school. Between Doctor Who and all the movies I want to see right now, I can't concentrate on school at all!

I was too! God it's a good thing Sanfam wasn't watching it with me (he's still not caught up). He would have been trying to calm me down.....and failing miserably. :D

some random stuff i just came across:
in the podcast to the doctor's daughter they clear up that Alice Troughton isn't related to Patrick Troughton.
Bernard Cribbins, who plays Donna's Granddad, co-starred in 'Daleks' Invasion Earth: 2150 A.D.'!
It's a movie adaption of the Dalek Invasion of Earth story with the first Doctor, except they replaced the cast with other actors and it's much shorter.
Also, I'm having a great laugh at the expense of the rumor-mongers who were convinced that Spoiler: "ZOMG SOMETHING ON YOUR BACK!!!!11" meant that she was bitten by the Empress of the Racnoss at some point, and has been controlled by an invisible spider on her back all along like Sarah Jane Smith apparently once was. The rumor went on to say that she'd be somehow responsible for the upcoming Dalek apocalypse, and at the end of the Series she'd lose her memories of her time with the Doctor, which would be bittersweet but merciful considering the atrocities she was forced to commit.
And Worf, sadly for you I don't think Donna's going to die in the upcoming episodes. I think that Spoiler: River Song's wistful look at her was set-up for Rose telling her that she was going to die, making the audience actually wonder if this episode would see her staying dead this time. I find it far more likely someone like Martha will die, as I can just picture Davies on his couch giggling over having fooled everyone into thinking that Donna was going to die. Remember, Rose was referring to the alternate her dying, and River Song never actually said what would happen - just as likely she experiences some sort of terrible loss she wouldn't have otherwise experienced had she not been with the Doctor. Amusingly enough, the River Song bit only fueled the invisible spider rumors.
Finally, and most importantly, has anyone figured out why Rose was talking funny yet?
