Powerful episode. Happy that they didnt show the "to be continued.." after the jump. Now I can wait half a year for the continuation without wondering too much :).
Was kinda afraid that the Earth orbit missile platforms would lock on....
Good episode. My guess for the next 10 episodes is that they will have allot of ruins to find out what happened. Maybe some underground vaults with goodies inside. The old radio music activating the final five and the Kara's brand new viper from an unknown assembly line means there is a third power involved. 2009 seems long way off to find out. I think things are taking place at least 5000 years in the future or more since seeing this episode.
Spoiler: Another possibility is that the people who left Earth are the ones who eventually formed the 12 colonies. In other words, instead of being the 13th colony, Earth was the birthplace of humanity, rather than Kobol. Wouldn't it be interesting if the Colonial's ancestors were the ones who nuked Earth on their way out.
Soundtrack.net have posted a review of Bear McCreary's BSG concerts and he has been kind enough to provide them with samples of the music from the event. Very cool!! The tracks are only 30 seconds long but they give a good idea of how it sounded. Now if we could get a live cd released....
That really would be nice. Don't forget they could also include music from Razor on the first release and the additional tv movies rumoured tv movies on the second.
It could, but according to McCreary himself, this season already contains more unique and modified queues than seasons before, making it a reasonable option to consider. Five minutes here, six there, four somewhere else, it all adds up. Razor itself is about 25 to 30 minutes of unique cues as far as I'm aware.
That's what I was thinking, just about every episode has at least one track worth putting on a soundtrack.
I also remember reading about Razor, one piece he definitely wants to include was from the extended version/webisodes, the space battle with the young Adama.
Personally, I'm hoping they go for a season 4/season 5 branding rather than season 4.0/season 4.5, just because it'll make another soundtrack album that much more likely.
SCI FI Channel announced today at the Television Critics Association press tour that the final episodes of Battlestar Galactica would debut in January 2009.
Apparently they'll be making another 10 webisodes as well, these are to be broadcast in the weeks leading up to the actual episodes.
These webisodes sound a little more like Lost's Missing Pieces than the Resistance webisodes.
Well, taking the most recent videoblog into account, that makes sense. [sp=the first seconds of 4x11 "Sometimes a Great Notion"]The next episode picks up in the ruins of Earth, right where "Revelations" left off. Can't really show the intermediary period between the episodes when it's measured in seconds.[/sp]
it would suck if it ends with Starbuck waking up at...it was all a bad dream.
Somebody had mentioned a theory that this was just all in Baltars head from start to finish :D.
On other news Grace Park says the first TV movie is confirmed.
I'm also wondering if sci-fi is trying to stretch it out to yet another year and see if they can finally land one of the big Emmys for it.
