Kane and Lynch - dead men
shadow boxer
The Finger Painter & Master Ranter
in Zocalo v2.0
I give it 6 out of 10 'meh's.
short, very, very, linear
extremely lame choose-your-own-adventure end, trying to pretend it's actually a choice. the effective choice is between 'finishing the game properly', or 'chicken shitting your way out of it'
it also suffers from Microsoftgameitis. In other words, too easy, built for those with a soft head. you can bulldoze your way through most levels without doing much to control your squads etc. you can effectively park all the NPCs and just paste all the bad guys and then waltz the window dressing extras through to the next level
you also get frog marched to an xbox LIVE server and registered if you want to play it, even if you're running the PC version.
quite a few other minor niggles sour the whole thing
its a shame, in patches, its highly polished and well done
fun for a few hours diversion when it hits the bargain bins... which I assume will happen pretty quickly. it does deserve the reviews it got, I shouldnt have given it the benefit of the doubt
