Anybody playing Diablo 2 for old times sake? I've been thinking about it but when trying to install there was an error so I may have to download it somewhere.
heh, at until I click the link, I thought you were talking about this game: http://ps2.ign.com/objects/017/017461.html#reviews
It's actually a pretty good game...until you actually have to race the AI...which is apparently programmed to follow exactly the same line around a track regardless of what objects may be in the way.
Not really, I just worked off my good deed quota for this month. :D I haven't seen a good truck driving simulation yet... but if someone were to make one like what you see in GTA:SA, I might check it out, but until then I'll stick with flight sims.
Well just hit 60 on my druid...For those of us that do play where do you usually find the best gear for a druid at level 60? Otherwise been playing Diablo 2 on and off.
Johnny, the expansion (The Burning Crusade) might as well be called the Druid Crusade. The boosts that druids got in it were great. Just doing the quests in Outlands will get you some great gear.
For a feral Druid. Look for anything with +Agility. Agility gives you 1 attack power per agility, plus crit %. Your second attribute is stamina, by level 70 you should have 9k hp or close to it. Then worry about Strength. Str gives 2 ap per but agility is more important. Stick with Leather gear only.
For a resto druid you need Spirit, Stamina and Intellect and in that order. Spirit gives you mana regen, which a resto druid feeds off of. The way our HOT's (heal over time) work best is when you can spam the crap out of them and not lose mana in the process. Stamina of course is HP again, but dont expect to have more than 7-8k at level 70 until you start collecting epics. Intellect increases your mana pool. Look for any gear leather or cloth to make up this armor set.
For a balance druid (boomkin), you need intellect for mana and spell crit, stamina for health and spirit for mana regen. As with resto look for any gear leather and cloth to make up this set.

I have not played a balance druid, so I really can't help you with a good balance spec.
For feral dps (cat), focus on attack power and crit %, use your shred as much as you can. Which means you have to be behind your victim. Otherwise mangle and when you get 5 points stacked do your damage over time finishing move Rip. This works great in instances, just don't forget to cower so you don't draw aggro. Download and install Omen, its the default threat meter used by pretty much everyone.
As a feral tank (bear), focus on your armor (damage mitigation) and your dodge %, pull a mob with your frarie fire and click maul, when the guy gets to you immediately start with a mangle, taunt, lacerate x3-4, swipe (especially if tanking multiple mobs), then get into a mangle, maul, lacerate (always 3-4 times) rotation. Watch your threat and if someone passes you taunt.
As a resto (healer), use your lifebloom and rejuvenation spells as often as they are up on the tank. If other targets take damage toss a rejuv on them, but focus on the tank. If you have 3 lifeblooms stacked throw out a regrowth. Use your swiftmend when necessary, and save that natures swiftness for an emergency regrowth when the tank is low. Personally I don't use Healing touch at all because it takes you out of tree form. I would also recommend a mod called Healbot for healing, makes it a lot easier. You can mouse over heal and map all your heals to your mouse keys. So easy.
Either way, you got to go to outlands to get the gear. Good luck.
Ahh thats great advice Spirit, I am a feral druid for now. My guild may require a restoration or balance druid later on though. I am not too sure, but yes I know that Agility comes first. At 60 I have 255 Agility with Mark of The Wild. I tend to use mangle exclusively because it seems to out dps my shred ability. Correct me if I'm wrong about that though. But why wouldn't you use Ferocious Bite as opposed to rip?
You use rip because when you combine mangle (which increases bleed damage) and rip (bleed damage) together you get more damage over time. I know in the extremely rare instance that get to do druid melee dps when I started using the shred, mangle rip combo vs mangle ferocious bite, my total dps went up by about 60-70. While it doesn't sound like much remember thats per second, and evey little bit helps.
If your server is anything like mine though I will just tell you now, at level 70 NO ONE wants druid melee (feral) dps. Essentially its because we have no real accepted form of crowd control, dps warriors have the same issue. I have over 3k attack power and over 40% crit in cat form. I can do consistently over 600 dps with my gear, what makes that good is most of my gear is shared with my bear gear, which means its not gemmed or enchanted for dps rather tanking. I figure if I regemmed and enchanted I could easily push it to over 750dps. Which while not uber by any stretch of the imagination its still pretty damned good.
That being said though, of all the true hybrid class of characters (Paladins, Druids and to a lesser extent shamen) I think druids have the best upsides. Like I said earlier, no one wants a feral dps druid unless their only other option is a ret paly.
My druid bounces back and forth from feral to resto (hence why i know both of those quite well), as a tank, I have 33k armor, 40% dodge and 15k self buffed hp. Its enough that I can easily main tank everything in Kara, gruuls and Magtheridons lair (so essentially all tier 4 content). I can even to a point tank some entry level tier 5 content. As a healer I have 1925 bonus healing base. Buffed up I pass 2k heals easily. Thats because my healing gear is almost all badge gear or high end kara, low end tier 5 quality stuff.

I am wearing my cat gear there, but you can see things like my helm that are set up for tanking not dps. I got lucky with the tier 4 shoulders, I have 2 pair, so I have one set up for bear and one for cat.
Even though I am on a pvp server, I don't much like it in this game, so I dont bother, thats why my arena teams suck.
Do you have any other characters? I have 2 other 70's a hunter that I don't play cause I don't like him anymore and my lock that is a lot of fun. I just respeced her to be essentially a shadow bolt cannon. Its a raiding spec, but I can push over 1k sustained dps with her.

With her fel armor on she has almost 1100 shadow damage.
Okay, well I hayve a 31 pally on the same server and a 45 pally on smolderthorn. However I don't play on smolderthorn since my "friends" abandoned me. I stick to gnomeregan usually because my other RL friends play there.
I've been playing Elder Scrolls: Oblivion recently. So far I've made two characters: Shar'lyssa, a young female Wood Elf who is a class I customized. I called it Sneak, since I couldn't think of a better name. It's pretty much like a Thief, but I didn't totally like what Thief had. My play style for her is pretty much modeled on the Metal Gear games, so it's lots of sneaking around and attacking from the shadows. I also made her really cute by my standards.
Then I also made a Redgaurd (I think that's what they're called) named Kuldar, a crazy rampaging murderous Barbarian, who I haven't played as much so far. I was amazed at how quickly he was able to kill the enemies in the beginning part compared to Shar'lyssa. He's middle aged and his looks are sort of based off of Conan from Robert E. Howard's stories, but not totally, since I didn't feel like totally making him look like how I envision Conan. He's just a crazy killer that I'm going to have terrorize the countryside.

mass effect was great, although playing an infiltrator with maxed sniper/pistol skills + liara with singularity is almost unfair :D
Are you ready for Steam? :D
seriously addictive game & so much fun to charge infantry with 30 lancers :D
also, if you got your cdkey you can download the whole thing in blizzards online store somewhere for free.
finished downloading it now my cd key doesn't work in the install section, its only 16 characters and it requires 26...uh oh.
