Ok, so I got me some Dogmeat (a cousin of Dogbert) as follower. I'll just leave Cross where she is, in Fallout's cyber lounge, and I'll just call her back when I need her. :D

I also noticed I can't get back into Raven Rock. Once you get out, you can't get back in. I should have checked the boxes behind that force field before heading out the front hatch. I missed out on a Vengeance Gatling laser gun. Fawkes uses one, so I've already seen it in action. Sweet thing, but fairly hard to maintain in mint condition. Not really worth the trouble of reloading an earlier savegame.

The Enclave plot so far is a bit of a let-down. I was expecting more from the "president." The ending is fairly predictable and cut short. As I expected, the journey is the meat and potatoes of this game.
•
And that village had a name? :D
Yes, place was called Andale.

And few days ago I visited a place with vegetation, trees... It was beautiful.
• StingrayStingray Elite Ranger
Yeah, well, it seems they are very kind to outsiders.

I'll have to check it out some time.
• StingrayStingray Elite Ranger
So I went to Andale and confronted them with their odd ways and in the end I just left them alone. It's not like I have any authority of telling them what to do. You can't judge people the same way when you are faced with the harsh realities of the Wastelands. Besides where would the children go? :D

I also did the fire ant mission and the Oasis quest. Funny stuff. In a way it was refreshing to see some green leaves and hear some bird songs. Creepy man tree...

Still have to check out Tenpenny tower. The ghoul quest needs to be resolved. Overall I have to say that exploring the game world is more fun than doing the main quest, which all things considered gives you the impression that it was abruptly cut short. Blablabla and bla, the end. I'm supposed to take the Brotherhood of Steel back to the water purifier and that is I believe the last chapter of the main quest. I still have too many unexplored places on the map, so I have a feeling I'm missing out on quite a few side missions. Besides, I'm only level 18, with quite a few skills that need to be improved. Only Speech is at 100%.
• The maximum level in Fallout is 20, so better start searching those bubbleheads and skill books ;)

Unless you buy Broken Steel add-on, which I will buy the second it gets on PS3... Or if you are lucky enough, I suppose there are modifications for PC which removes the level cap.
• StingrayStingray Elite Ranger
I only found 4 bobble-heads so far. I seem to have more success finding books. I'll just postpone the final quest until I've played the other add-ons I already have. There are three more DLC that I still need to get. Apparently Bethsoft is done working on additional quests. There is however a third party working on additional content.

The ending isn't really that great, so I don't think I'm missing out on much until then.
• BigglesBiggles The Man Without a Face
The more side quests you do, the better the ending gets.

I had no trouble getting to level 20 long before I even began the main quest. In fact, I felt that I got there too quickly, simply by exploring a lot.
• StingrayStingray Elite Ranger
You get more XP from doing quests than shooting mole rats. :D
• SpiritOneSpiritOne Magneto ABQ NM
Well, I still get the occasional lock up on Fallout, but for the most part I have been able to play and continue to move through the game.

I have visited every vault now, including the return trip to 101.

Up in the northeast corner of the map is a town filled with Death Claws, whats up with that? Those things are terrible. To top it off, I fell into a sewer grate, and eventually just had to reload because those things would gang up on me and Jericho. Kick both of our power armor wearing butts.

Is there something worth getting up there? or is it just a butt kicking session?
• I've heard about some Deathclaw home cave system, but haven't had the time to search it. I'll find my way to get some alien technology in my hands first, should be powerful enough to deal with those monsters.

By "exploring," I mean "wandering the wasteland in places I haven't been and doing the quests I stumble across." Despite that, I still got an overly large proportion of my XP from killing random creatures in the waste.
• played the last aion beta event last weekend. while it doesn't bring many new things (apart for flying combat and korean-style currencies where items cost 12 million gold) it is refreshingly different from - a graphically still superior yet nowadays slightly boring - lord of the rings online.

the anime style and soundwork paired with a skill combo system sometimes makes you think you are playing mmo-tekken. then again, scantily clad women in short skirts... mmmmhhh...

yeah, stumbled across some Deathclaw den today, guarded by some Enclave. Dispatched them with my plasma rifle and got some more Tesla armor to give mine a much needed repair.

I just played thru the Broken Steel DLC. Very enjoyable seeing more of Liberty Prime, who incidentally is hilarious! [sp] although i was disappointed he then got iced

That and the tesla cannon was also very cool![/sp]

just downloaded all of the expansion packs on xbox live. ONLY to find out that in order to play them you character has to have been played on xbox live the whole time :(

So my chic who did about 85% of all the quests available, and finished the game, is no where to be found.

The good thing though is by restarting, I know what quests I enjoyed and what quests I didn't. Plus I can do some of the new quests with no prereqs. I did the whole mothership zeta story, which is quite fun. But I spent a good portion of it overburdened because I refused to not take all the cool alien weapons with me.
• ShadowDancerShadowDancer When I say, "Why aye, gadgie," in my heart I say, "Och aye, laddie." London, UK
Yeah I discovered that too. Very annoying! But the DLC has been quite good fun, so I'm willing to forgive ;)

Are you on dial-up that you are not on Live all the time? I'm playing the PC version and my rig is on-line all the time and whenever I play Fallout 3 I get connected automatically to the service. I don't play it any other way.

Right now I'm just exploring. Filling my map with locations. I'll check them out later on. I've noticed that areas previously explored and cleared of enemies will repopulate over time. Fort Bannister is crawling with Talon mercenaries again. So much for securing the area.

I kinda makes sense, otherwise you'd run out of ammo. :D
• SpiritOneSpiritOne Magneto ABQ NM
no Im not on dialup, in fact I have a 10mb dsl connection. I just had no desire to be online with games for windows. It is after all a single player game. So I never bothered to link my xbox login to games for windows.

until it made me when I bought the expansions from them.

After playing Chrono Trigger again and getting all the endings, I felt like playing Chrono Cross again, so I'm doing that. I just love the crazy story in this game.
• for the first time....I have a battleship in X3. (Last time I went the route of the merchant).

Dang this is fun. :D
• StingrayStingray Elite Ranger
I've never owned a battleship in X3... :(
• Lord RefaLord Refa Creepy, but in a good way
At the moment, I got about 130 games I'm playing on ds occasionally, but on pc.. I've started playing Imperium Galactica 2, Space Rangers 2 and Blade Runner. Thinking about getting and starting to play Sins of a Solar Empire or whatsitsname..

I kind of miss Master Of Orion 2. I really, really want to play it.. I've got the original cd and all, but can't seem to get it to work. :(

Started playing Fallout 3 GOTY edition a couple of days ago. So far about 6 hours a day. Fun fun fun stuff, trying not to read your stuff while trying to decide whether to nuke megaton or not.

Im a saint, but that town just might deserve it..

back to messing around in wow, for a lack of anything else to do.
• StingrayStingray Elite Ranger
Currently playing VTMB to see what this vampire RPG with cult status is all about.

I've been playing it without using my vampire skills too much until now but I've reached a stage where I probably need to (I'm aware that this is the point of the game, but I'm a vampire noobie). I'm currently inside the museum in which I need to steel a mysterious sarcophagus and the place is just full of guards and cameras and I'm not supposed to kill anyone.

The best part is, I'm not even sure where the sarcophagus is located. This is probably the hardest part of the game yet. I rather enjoyed the RPG part so far as the game feels like your decisions actually make a difference in the game world just like in Fallout 3.

This game keeps getting patched like 5 years after its initial release, that in of itself is quite remarkable.

I've gone back to playing City of Heroes. Thanks to Darkblade I got a trial of Champions Online, but I prefer CoH to be honest. Not that I really have much time at the moment for playing either properly :(
• SpiritOneSpiritOne Magneto ABQ NM
The sarcophagus is in the basement, and Id love to tell you how to get to it without murdering guards, but that was never my style :D
• StingrayStingray Elite Ranger
My first choice would be to sneak up on them and clear out the place, but that would make a much easier game. I could also disable the guard in the surveillance room with all the monitors, perhaps that would solve the camera problem for me. Not sure if that makes a difference though.

Only 2 weeks until Dragon Age. :) At the moment I don't have really any game I play. Tried Call of Duty 4 I borrowed from my brother, but got bored of it after a few missions.

Luckily Mass Effect 2 is set to be released in January so won't have to wait very long for next rpg game. And then there's Assassins Creed 2 but who knows when that'll be released to the PC.
