Food for BSG Thought (Season 4 Spoilers)

So I found this on the Battlestar Galactica group on facebook:

The Last Battlestar Supper

First of all, the picture is awesome. Secondly, it reveals some interesting details about Season 4 in the picture itself and in its captions.
Perhaps the biggest revelation is that the final Cylon is not at the table. Who could it be?
P.S. Here is the picture without the captions... and my wallpaper. :D

• sad thing is, we'll never see the end of this show.
*sigh*

1/2 of the final season and it gets canned due to the strike / low ratings. Calling it now.

Spoiler: Well, now that Ive read it, it seems they are hinting that she isnt. Meh.. ;)

That is a fear of mine as well... but considering the crap the Sci-Fi puts out, ANY ratings should be better than their average movie of the week.

Why would they cancel it? It's not like there are any new shows that could replace it. Indeed, by having standing sets and outlined episodes, it's got a leg up over most shows.

Spoiler: My only guess is that starbuck isn't a cylon, but rather some incarnation of divinity. Her projection experience was bordering on omniscience, something unseen in the Cylon realm outside of the hybrids. Her connection, her past indicates some greater purpose than even humanocylon status could provide.

Ah yes, I loved that picture. I had seen it some time ago here :D http://www.cinemablend.com/television/Moore-Offers-New-Clues-About-Battlestar-Galactica-8129.html?tid=577

The final cylon is Adama, Leoban said so in "Flesh and Bone" :D I'm calling it now. Now will we ever see the end? Who knows, being a realist bordering on pessimist I think every day the strike drags on the chances of it being finished keep getting slimmer. From what I've read it looks like technically the official status is the show is canceled. Some other NBC shows that shut down with BSG are supposed to not be comming back. While the ratings for BSG are about average for Sci-fi they are probably not for NBC who I'm sure will call the final shots. Actually I'm pretty sure the only thing that may keep it afloat are the DVD sales. Sci-fi is sadly enough getting consistently better results with a lot of their shit shows.
• Perhaps, if NBC/SciFi were stupid enough to can the rest of it, SkyOne can pick up the slack (if NBC will give up the rights, I suppose)?

Call me overly optimistic, but I think we'll get all 20.

RedAssAg05: you're overly optimistic :p

Never underestimate how much sawdust fills the heads of network execs
• yea, I see this happening:

1st half of season 4 gets released. shows canned.

1 year later DVD sales convince them to do a mini-series/movie to close out the show, which we'll get by 2010.

Starting to smell like Farscape all over again...
• It stinks in the end the series goes the way of the orginal series, cancelled with no ending. I hope not.

To be honest, I wouldn't mind if they just released the final 1/2 season on DVD and called it a day. Sci-Fi's commercials annoy me. ;)
• yes...but it has to be written first. And seeing as how they are releasing actors/writers from contracts...might not be written OR filmed to make it that far.

Spoiler: Dualla is an Adama by marriage.

Seriously, my guesses for final Cylon go like this.

1. Dee: Flawed only in that she is so damn boring. That, and all signs point to her, making it possible that it's just a masterful red herring. That's right, I just said Dualla might not be the final cylon because its too obvious that she's the final cylon.

2. Socrata Thrace: Well, there's something up with Starbuck's mother, that's for sure. The flaw is that there are only so many half-cylon babies a man can see before it stops seeming special. Also, I believe the final Cylon is living in the Fleet, both for convenience and because it would make Boomer's wild guess that there were eight cylons in the fleet true.

3. Tom Zarak: The dark-horse candidate, mostly because I'm sure the last Cylon is a woman. Still, Zarak has no known history beyond his terrorist attacks twenty years ago, which puts him well within the window to be a Cylon. His personal goals seem similar to the Cylons, desiring liberation from oppression. Like the rest of the Final Five, he opposed the Cylons on New Caprica, and was involved in the Circle punishing collaborators afterward. And, hey, no one would expect it.
• Actually, I kinda thought it was going to be Zerak...

What I don't get is why studios are deciding to kill shows off. The strike will end, it won't go on forever. If I was them I'd make sure I'd have a list of shows ready to start work on again once the strike was over. Its looking to me like they all seem to be planning on yet more reality crap to take over. And with Sci Fi the only decent shows they have are BSG, Eureka and Atlantis. Remove two of those and they have squat. Makes no sense to me. It seems pointless to film the first half of BSG season 4 and then just stop. But then again I don't think the same as the suits.

Spoiler: Actually, I think Zerak is a PERFECT choice to be a Cylon--both for the reasons already stated and the fact that Richard Hatch was, of course, the original Apollo... and that would be a cool irony. :)

I agree with Space Ghost

What of Ellen Tigh? The thought occurred to me that we've been ignoring her significance. She seems like a character ripe for a spontaneous return.
• David of MacDavid of Mac Elite Ranger Ca
No! No, no, no! A thousand times, for a thousand reasons, no! It would ruin everything about her.
• SanfamSanfam I like clocks.
I'm not saying it would be a GOOD thing in any way, shape, or form. But it seems to be something almost asking for a return, and we know the writers' habits pretty well.
• I swears you guys, there's only one way this can possibly end. Spoiler: Doc Cottle is the final Cylon. Can it be anyone else?
• Vorlons in my HeadVorlons in my Head The Vorlons told me to.
Well Ellen Tigh has already been back for S4 in the form of flashbacks, or at least that's what they're telling us.
