My x-mass present.

I got the first two books in the Centari trilogy and the whole Techno Mage trilogy!

And some other stuff. :D

If there are more then one spelling for 'present' my title isn't nearly as funny as I had hoped.

A pretty decent haul you've got there then! :) The Technomage trilogy is IMO the best of the books, although the Centauri trilogy isnt that far behind. I must dig my copies out again, its been ages since I read them

Bought those books in 2004 or something, nice read.
This christmas I bought Guitar Hero III (For PC) as present to myself :)
• SanfamSanfam I like clocks.
DS9 Season 5, Eureka Season 1, Robot Chicken Seasons 1 and 2, a Family Guy "Best of" DVD, Hot Fuzz, some cool shirts, A Joel Olsteen book (?!), and a rather unimpressive and dangerously child-safe Hess truck. The latter is a terrible disappointment that has been growing practically every year as the trucks become less interesting, larger, and universally "safe."

DS9 and Eureka make this a damned good pull :D

My Christmas was meager and boring since, once again, my family is all gathered up in Oregon without me.

I ended up spending Christmas with my Rochester cousins who didn't know I was going to be around until the day before so I only got one present, some body lotion.

My mom and dad sent me a ton of money though which I'll be using to upgrade my computer. Also, my dad, predictably, sent me a necklace that is quite beautiful but not something I will ever wear.

My brother promised me a present but I haven't received it yet, so who knows. My real Christmas doesn't happen until the 29th when I get down to Long Island and Sanfam's house. :D

EDIT: Got my brother's present just now from the mailman! DOCTOR WHO SERIES 3 DVD SET!!! *screams and runs around in circles*

I received $140 from my dad, $100 from mom and a brand new leather jacket, from my grandmother.

Loads of Myhbusters DVD's, Eldar tanks and clothes. All in all a jolly good one. :D
• SanfamSanfam I like clocks.
I was unaware the Mythbusters had a proper DVD release of any sort. I must investigate!
• MessiahMessiah Failed Experiment
Theyre on the Discovery website. :)

I got a bit of chocolate, a calendar, a £10 gift card, a mug, a new wallet, a tshirt and £200.

Not bad :D
• ShadowDancer, absolutely agree with you assesment of the books.

My self, I got an Airbrush (my first, so we'll see how it goes) and a model to practive with it on, Bourn Ultimadem, and an Xbox 360 controller to use with my computer.

Main thing I got was an HD head unit for my car. I got it installed yesterday, found there are even some HD AM stations in the area. It also has a USB port in the faceplate, so I can listen to music straight off a jump drive, or other USB compatable media.

Akrovah, what airbrush did you get?

I wish I had somewhere I could use an airbrush here, but it looks like I'm stuck with hand-brushing for a while yet.
• StingrayStingray Elite Ranger
I've always been impressed by airbrush artwork and it usually looks great on cars, but I never felt like doing it myself.

Never saw it as a hobby, because it doesn't seem like something you can do on the cheap to become any good at it.

Anyway, that's a great idea for a X-Mas present. :)
• BigglesBiggles The Man Without a Face
I don't want an airbrush for art work. I want it so my models look better when I paint them. :)

I need to get all the B5 Books. I'm dying to read them.

So for X-Mas, my wife got this pendant, it's a big oval stone of some sort, and she looks up and says "Hmm, it needs a human on one side and a Minbari on the other...."

Entil'Zha: And that's when you know you've married the right person. :D

Oh hell yes :)

Very nice. I've got an older dual action Paasche alse, but it has been a long time since I've had my airbrush together, used to do a lot of R/C car bodies.

I skipped xmas this year. Just like last year.
• BigglesBiggles The Man Without a Face
As did I.
• StingrayStingray Elite Ranger
As did I. All this consumerism around the holiday season has fairly pushed me beyond point of caring about it anymore.

I don't really celebrate with gifts, just a nice dinner and that is all.

(EDIT: I guess that all changes when you have kids... just to be clear on that.)
• ShadowDancerShadowDancer When I say, "Why aye, gadgie," in my heart I say, "Och aye, laddie." London, UK
I celebrated it, but that was more out of habit than anything else to be honest. I really couldnt be bothered with it when it actually got around to being xmas day, I only made an effort for the sake of my family
• MessiahMessiah Failed Experiment
I celebrate it, but only cause its a nice reason to spend it with my family and I like the food (Especially grönkål and dopp i grytan, which are not on there for unknown reasons), not because I think its cool with a several thousand years old tradition. (Ok, just a little.. :D)
• StingrayStingray Elite Ranger
Certainly looks tasty. :D
• BigglesBiggles The Man Without a Face
The reason I didn't celebrate it isn't because "oh noes it's all about consumerism these days!" I didn't celebrate it because my family is all over 8000km away in one direction or another, I live in a non-Christian country, and I had to go to work.

If others want to focus on buying or receiving as many gifts as possible, let them. It's not going to ruin my idea of Christmas or stop me spending time with family, having a good time, and eating a good meal together.
• StingrayStingray Elite Ranger
But I'm sure they must have a day where they eat and drink too much even in the country you are in right now. :D
