    I've been sucked into WoW, after resisting it for years. as for sapping your bank account, try having 3 accounts, since my wife and daughter also play. heh

    God help you :p I used to play Horde on Haomarush and Alliance on Dragonblight. I left because I hated spending hours and hours building my characters up and then lose all those advances because I missed a few days play. I've heard thats changed now but it did annoy me a lot plus I hated having to play 3hrs a night in order to keep guild/raid people happy. Became more like hard work than a fun game in the end.

    I'm impressed that you got your dad to play an MMOG. I just got mine to use the internet. :D He's not up to speed on the lingo, but I guess it's just a matter of time.

    In fact I think I got him hooked... but I doubt he'll play games though.

    It was quite easy, hes been playing car games on his playstation and ps2 for some years now, and got guitar hero last year. Hes even starting to get into hard rock.. ;)

    I've tried wow, and I just don't get it. There is nothing in that game I couldn't get elsewhere, like Neverwinter nights.

    Thankfully it is under my boycott now so my boyfriend wont get me to play :D

    I dropped the boycott long ago. The company that exists today is almost a unique entity.

    Blizzard pretty much carries Vivendi. Wow apparently now has over 9 million subscribers. Thats a lot of monthly income. Like it or not, when StarCraft II comes out, it will be the highest selling game of whatever the hell year it comes out.

    WoW is a well-managed gaming revolution. And I agree, Starcraft II will dominate the charts all the same. Blizzard is too damned calculated to make a bad business decision. They aren't willing to release anything less than a solid winner and ensure that the gaming experience they offer is nothing short of world-changing. Look at how many titles they've canceled or indefinitely postponed that were well reviewed by testers, but deemed less-than-perfect? As a result, they've managed to have almost no recorded mis-steps and enormous profit.
