Galactica has been cancelled. Well sorta...
Vorlons in my Head
The Vorlons told me to.

I know this was kind of to be expected, but the pessimist in me knows that this is the end. I have a feeling the last episode will never be filmed. Not with the ratings they had.

Besides, what is Universal going to do? The strike ends, and they've got all the infrastructure set up to finish off their critical darling, and they'll throw it away? No, BSG isn't in danger. It's the new shows, or the relatively unknown shows, that are going to get it in the shorts. Eureka, I'm looking at you. With pity.
Worf
But hey, I'm not in the business, what do I know. not worth getting panties in a bind over though.
It was Earth all along!
I'm pretty much fed up with all the breaks that weekly and daily shows have nowadays. I can't even get my daily dose of humor anymore. Now I have to watch the so-called real news and that's quite sad.
But I hope there will be a settlement soon, they can't strike forever, even the suits need to eat. :D
I believe that's what they are getting with the strike, they are getting hit where it hurts.
Ideally, they'll be able to see what's what. Or at least understand how galling it is when they sweep clips of their shows off of YouTube because its piracy (read: lost sales) and then turn around and claim that doing the same thing on their own site is "advertising."
Though according to RDM, all of the BSG second-level staff have been laid off by the studio in addition to the indefinite standby w/o pay. This continued striking back at the little guy is just going to continue causing so much trouble.
Well, the writers may have a problem, but I can't say that I shed too many tears for the actors (at least the "stars" of most of the shows). I think they will have enough to get them through the Christmas shopping season... for the next 100 years. ;)
on the upside of the strike, we've most certainly lost Bionic Woman, Cavemen, and Flash Gordon.
This is bad how? :p
And is it just me, or does "Tin Man" look like the writers took the idea for the Flash Gordon remake and replaced the characters with those from the Wizard of Oz?
One of the recent commercials greatly annoyed me. "Welcome to OZ, the Outer Zone." Har har! They assigned meaning to a silly name! That must mean they're good writers.
And the Scarecrow is named Glitch. Technolinkage stupidity!

I don't know, I think it sounds pretty cool. I mean, that was some deep insight to what OZ stands for. I think that it should turn out that the Cowardly Lion is actually the love child of a Munchkin and a creature from the Outer Dark, but the Munchkin isn't just a Munchkin, he's actually a twisted Nightmare escaped from The Dreaming that took the form of a Munchkin to haunt the dreams of the trees and had escaped to Munchkinland after raping his own mother and destroying the Porpentine.
