IE Font issue

FreejackFreejack Jake the Not-so-Wise
Got a weird issue with IE. In certain instances, the font size is almost double what it should be, almost like the page is refering to the wrong style sheet. But it is inconsistant enough I can't figure it out. For example, you look at this post, normally, the text would be a 10 point font and my sig would be about an 8 point. On this computer the main text is normal size, but the sig is about a 12 point font.

Any suggestions?

Jake

[EDIT for clairfication]My wife, for no apparent reason, does not like Firefox and since it is easier to fix IE than my wife, that is what I will be doing.

I believe he said the problem was between the keyboard and the chair, not the browser. :D

The browser in question is still a problem. :p

You may do so only if in exchange I receive the title Jake the Wise....

I may be wrong, but I'm not sure ' The Wise' would be the correct honorific to use :p

My wife was resistant too at first. Its because its new and she doesn't quite know it yet. Force her to anyway, its for your own safety. Eventually like my wife, she will get used to it and like it.
  • The solution lays here:

    Make Firefox Look Like IE

This way, you get the benifits of firefox, and your wife won't know the difference!

Unless of your, you upgraded to IE7.

In which case there is only one thing to do.

    Ah, beautiful titles :)
  • It's to the point where I can use IE7 and FF2 pretty much interchangeably. IE just really isn't that bad anymore.

    huh?

IE7 crashes constantly on every system I've ever used it on.

I can crash IE7 by writing ordinary JavaScript code on a website.

IE7 is absolutely horrible at rendering websites. It fixed those render bugs in IE6 that you could work around, left those that you couldn't, and introduces a whole lot of new ones that are worse than any IE6 ever had.

And finally, the interface is horrible.
  • BigglesBiggles <font color=#AAFFAA>The Man Without a Face</font>
I wouldn't call the interface "horrible." I think the phrase "a shambolic mess" is more accurate.

Sanfam described it to me that they just took the interface elements, threw them at the screen, and where they landed was where they put them.

Firefox, Camino, Safari... I rest my case :p

I think that's better than both our descriptions. :D
