Half Life 2: Orange Box

So, I wanted to get Half Life 2: Episode 2 because, well, that's all I really needed. Episode 1 was no problem, it was $19.99 when it came out if I remember correctly, and it was sold stand alone in stores.

But much to my chagrin, I found out that the only way to get Episode 2 alone is to download it off of Steam for $29.99. I also wanted Team Fortress 2 and, again, the only way to get it by itself is a $29.99 download off of Steam. Shit.

Half Life 2: Orange Box sells for $49.99 and you Portal as well. Not to mention you get a hard copy of Half Life 2 (I downloaded it the day it came out... dumb). What a freaking rip. And if I had ANY will power whatsoever, I wouldn't buy it... but I don't... so I will. [I]Shit[/I].

    I'm going to release a computer game everyone's looking forward to and will be drooling over for over a year, then I'll make sure only half the game is actually in what you buy and you'll have to pay to download a million patches.

    I bought it a month or 2 ago at a discount, had it pre-loaded and ready to go, so i was all set to play yesterday...

    then i got sick, and the motion of the game makes me want to vomit.. shit.

    can't play till i get un sick, SHIT!

    I need a computer first. An Athlon 2000+ Mobile with a 64MB Radeon Mobility doesn't really cut it.

    I feel you... I have the Half Life 2, and episode 1. Now they want me to buy everything again, just to get TF, Portal and EP2?

    No thanks, I'll rather "buy" it "elsewhere", this is crap.

    So, I just bought it at EB Games, got home and now Steam won't let me install it because of some problem with the activation. BLAH!

    Beat portal...freaking AWESOME. Best game I think I've played in a long time, lotsa secrets, etc...and mindbending gameplay, not to mention the great sence of humor throughout. :D

    I'd score it at about 95%, and the only fault? I want more levels!
    although the length felt right as far as what they were attemping to accomplish...still...I want more levels. :D

    I agree. Portal is freaking awesome!

    I also like Team Fortress 2. At first I thought the "cartoon" appearance was lame, but after playing it for a while, I actually like it better than TFC in some ways. :)
