If the previous episode wasn't impressive, this one sure as hell was. Action was intense, CGI budget increase really shows and the music had more depth than usual.
They still pulled some out some cliches, but not in any bad way. :)
I'd say this was one of their better multi-part conclusions. They've had the nasty tendency to write themselves into a corner over the past seasons and have to cheat their way out. (See: Uberford, Uberford Strikes Back, The Return of Uberford)
I have a feeling that the actress is being allowed a bit more range than what she was as Vanilla Weir before given the circumstances. I found it worthwhile, as well...but this is going to lead right into a long absence due to having basically been written out.
Though I still feel fairly confused about the motives for the Asurans. Yes, they hate the Atlantis Expedition, but it just seems so silly after a while. Given how often our heroes seem to infiltrate (in some way) their ranks and how easily they can rewrite their code, it feels like the problem just shouldn't exist. And what's with those pacifists? Will we ever see them again? On-off evil villians/allies do get boring after a while. I just don't seem to understand *why* we're supposed to hate them, and vice versa.

Thats true about the Asurans, but I think that for now it'll allow for the story to be taken to a bit of a darker place than we've been before and that can only be a good thing IMO
It was of course nice to see Teal'c again, but this episode was otherwise way too predictable (Wraith worshipping 'n stuff) and I laughed my ass of when that goofy brawl began between Ronon and the other Satedans...
Nah I liked that episode. Good way to follow on from the 2 part opening. Was cool to see Mark Dacascos guest staring though I felt he was a little bit under used.
Worf check out Brotherhood of the Wolf, a french film. Its really good (does go a bit nuts towards the end but still worth it), based on a true story when there were a spate of deaths in the south of france 18th century. Its quite a stylish film with some excellent fight sequences. Vincent Cassell is in it as well.
He has done far too many straight to video films though, most are quite poor like DNA, shockingly bad film. Apparently Drive and Crying Freeman are other good examples of his work but haven't seen them myself.
Back to Atlantis... it was nice seeing Teal'c back. Hopefully we'll get to see some of the others from time to time.
yeah that lady is hot, she is in allot of car commercials over here.

She was very hot! I actually really enjoyed that episode, was good fun and I could feel the sexual tension between the two of them. Good stuff! :)
Those last 2 episodes were a marked improvement imo! One with the woman was cool, was neat to see another Ancient warship. Shame they couldn't keep it. And the other episode was funny.
I took some amusement ouf of Travellers, but the whole story felt almost exactly like a Vala plot sans Vala. Mind you, that isn't a particularly good thing even with Claudia Black. It was neat, but oh was it cliched and full of unnecessary twists!
Now, that episode with the Spoiler: crystalline life form was just superb. Some of those dream sequences were just terrifying, but the plot kept me fixed on the screen the entire time.

Yeah Doppleganger was probably the best IMO so far. In terms of enjoyment I prefer Travellers, but Doppleganger was done superbly. Wasnt so fond of the latest one, Tabula Rasa tho, parts were quite well done, but at the end it almost seemed like Spoiler: Carter hadnt really lost her memory, it felt like she just had too many of the answers. I need to watch it again tho I think
Spoiler: I agree. Actually, I was more upset by the fact that we didn't get more minor characters come into the focus. It seemed like a perfect means of saving money in the budget while simultaneously making the episode feel more believable. Why is it that when everyone lost their memories, the folks McKay encountered and dealt with were primarily main credit characters? Were it handled like "The other guys," it could have been so much more interesting. But I still enjoyed it a great deal (Beside Übercarter, at least...)
edit: fixt, lolz

Yeah exactly, an 'Other Guys' style would have made for a great story in this episode, they could have really allowed some of the minor characters/actors to shine. I'd have loved it if for instance Zalenka had been placed centre stage, tho I suppose he did have a pretty fair contribution to the episode anyway

That wasn't a bad episode, Atlantis hasn't been as bad as I expected it to be so far this season.
