Identify the game console.

Ok, here is something for you to do, id this console.

A friend of mine got this console and he said it can play NES games and then got some of it's own. A quick look though google and I can't find anything about it. So if you know anything about, please let me know. Thanks.

    It is a Famicom/NES clone system. These are typical pirated NES clones.

    Do a search for "Famiclone" and you should find some information.

    If you are lucky you will find information regarding that specific model. It is hard to be specific since there were so many unauthorized clones manufactured throughout the world to include China, former Soviet Union and others.

    These clone systems can play standard NES games, their own games made by users or the manufacturer of the clone system.

    I cannot ID the specific model or it country of origin but with some research on your part regarding these clones, you should be able to find some information.

    The funny thing is it looks a lot like a 2nd gen Genesis machine. Given that, I'd be willing to bet it is a later build clone (probably after the SNES was out).

    Interesting. I know Nintendo came out with a 2nd Gen NES after the SNES came out....but that is interesting.
