• Hey, there's hope, and that's good enough for me for now...

...if any show deserved another shot, it's Firefly.
• Falcon1Falcon1 Elite Ranger
Now that would be cool!

Better keep those goram fingers crossed...

I think I just heard the cry of a lonely fiddle somewhere...

...man I loved that show.

Very shiny! But no Wash would definitely be sad :(
• WORFWORF The Burninator
No Book either, I'd have liked to seen more about him and his character.

Yeah I'm ashamed to say I forgot about Book there. His character definitely had the most intriguing back story IMO.

Wonder if I am the only person that disliked Firefly...feels like it sometimes

Yeah, pretty much :p

I didn't much care for Brook, and while Wash will be missed, we've still got a strong cast there.
• Fox hated it too Mundane.

I think this comic is rather appropriate.

There was a huge amount of Book's backstory left to be told. Matter of fact an entire movie could focus on that, even with the character dead...

Matter of fact, I'd have to give Whedon and crew a huge hats-off for being so restrained in the series in keeping Book a mystery.

Yeah, but then again, they had what? 12 episodes or something? most shows wouldnt have revealed anything after that amount of time

Oh they could have easily dedicated 1 or 2 eps to Book's background, in order to help the audience "know" the character better, if they assumed, as many writers and producers do, that we the viewers need to be spoon feed the storyline.

I love shows that progress like with the assumption the viewer knows part of the story, or the assumption that viewer can enjoy the show without all the story.

If it does come back, they could always do flash backs and have Wash and Book in it. Could make for an interesting angle. But still it will not be the same without them. At least Jane would still be around. "I'll be in my bunk" :D

I hate shows like that. Star Trek is an excellet example, see an ep, wait 10 eps, see an ep and you havent missed ANYTHING (or you dont feel like you lost anything)
