Just turned in my last Uni assignment

I have completed my final class for my MBA, I just have to wait for graduation in September! I am so happy, 3 years of tackling evening classes, being away from my wife and daughter are done!

Of course this also caps off a dramatic round of changes all in the short span of few months, in the time from May until now, I did the following:

- Presented a project on biofuels for rural development to an international agricultural symposium
- Changed to a new position at work
- Moved into a brand new home
- Completed my final 4 MBA classes
- Sold off the old house...

To say I'm glad its over would be an understatement.

And the best part about getting an MBA: no thesis...

I envy you, I really do. While I'm only still an undergrad I can't wait to graduate. 7 years will be enough for me i think!

... and then comes the realization why Bill Gates dropped out of college. :D

    Enjoy it while it lasts.
  • Ahh... The graduation.

I remember my own graduation, it was nice.

After my graduation my employer didnt want to continue my contract and I ended up unemployed for almost a year. Even with the skills I had I wasnt able to get a job that I was looking for, though all my papers were all right and I can really say I'm a professional in the area.

Then I accidentally got one job, I've been working 2 months now 'without' a pay, because the work is arranged thru unemployment office. They say it's a work practice, I say its bullshit. If the employer refuses to hire me in a month, I'll say bye bye.

So yeah, graduation is one of those top moments in your life.

Hmh, this wasnt supposed to be a ranting post...

I will say the experience I had studying for an MBA was very different than my undergraduate. In addition, I was in a Professional MBA program, which is designed around people who work full time. The cool thing was that many class were very practical and provided tools that could be applied immediately. It wasn't like I was taking differential equations and thinking to myself, how the hell will I use this? Finally, since almost everyone in the classes worked in the "real world", there was a lot of good experience floating around.
