Sorry couldn't resist :D
That's as spoilery as I get(aside from trying to ruin things for my wife, but that's just sport)
Dug
Your talking about the book though?
Seriously, I'll hunt down and kill anyone who ruins this for me. Though it take me ten thousand years, I will have my vengeance.

Logically, if you don’t personally like Harry Potter books, knowing full well that a quarter of a BILLION people do, it’s an indication that you might be abnormal, and not necessarily in a good way. Yet no one ever says, “I don’t enjoy Harry Potter books because, evidently, there’s something disturbingly abnormal about my brain. Although scientists say human and chimp DNA only differs by 2%, with me, it’s probably a lot less.”
Is it the worlds best literature? prolly not. but for a first time published author to create such a rich world, i found amazing, they are very fun books. i'm kinda sad that its over.
and here's how it ends...
Spoiler: At the end of the book.. .The boat sinks... no wait, thats not right... At the end of the Book... you find out that Darth Vader really is Luke's father.. oh thats not right either, i just wanted to see how many people would actually read this thinking i'd give away the ending...
She is now driving me crazy, threatening to reveal things to me since I am currently reading through the enitre series again, and refuse to read the seventh until I get to it in the course of the narrative. It is bugging the hell out of her that she can not talk about it.
Oh, yeah, we were excited about it as well.
took me about 12 hours of reading to finish the book, i deliberately scheduled myself the day after the book off, partly to read it, and partly because we stayed open till 2am the night the book came out, we had a whole harry potter party, the local bookstore was open at midnight and sent people over here after they got their books, we had all sorts of Potter Food, my sister in law did a midnight reading of chapter 1 for about 40 people who showed up, it was a blast.
Overall, I think the ending was good. It worked well, was entertaining, and fitted with the story. I'm glad I got over my apathy (not due to the previous books) and read it.
I also agree with Entil'Zha. The books aren't works of literary mastery. They don't challenge old ideas or present revolutionary new ones. They may not even be entirely original. But they don't have to be. They tell a detailed, entertaining story in a detailed fictional world. Why do they need to do any more?
If you look at how LOTR wrapped up with the journey home, then the summary of events over the next few dozen years, that's how this should have ended if it she wanted to truely wrap up the story:
The journey home - the funerals; the immediate aftermath
The next few years - the installing of the headmaster; the marriages; the rebuilding of Hogwarts; the rebuilding of the Ministry; what jobs everyone got
The long term - 19 years is ok, but it does seem too far in the future even for this.

I have a pic of me all dressed up in my costume and I will post it later on. I got the book at midnight, read until I fell asleep at 4:30am and then continued to read after I woke up at 10:30am until 6pm the next day when I finished it, kleenex in hand. ;)
