MessiahMessiah Failed Experiment

So, my first batch of mead is done. Ive bottled it, corked it, put the little plastic thingy on the top, and printed the labels on paper with an adhesive on the back. Now to drink it up! :D

    Its actually very good. A friend of mine prefers it over both beer and wine. :)

    I don't know if any mead can compare to the mead I had in Scotland. It's called Lindisfarne. It's made by monks on an island and can't be exported outside of the UK unless you ship it yourself. :(

    Ahh, looks like fermentation takes a few days while the ages is what takes a while. I wonder if it is still good with no age hmmm

    Actually, it depends on what yeast you use. If you want a good-tasting mead, be prepared to let it ferment for a couple to three months. The ageing process does make it better, but if you make a good mead you sure can drink it straight out of the vat.
