JMS Meeting!
WORF
The Burninator
in Zocalo v2.0
So, Falcon1 and I got to meet him!
Falcon1 arrived first, luckily he found out the queue was behind the shop and sent me a message.
Eventually they let us in, he was very friendly and seemed to give everyone a chance to talk to him, rather than rushing through.
After he was finished signing, we went back and got some photos and asked him green or purple. He replied that he was neutral to the whole conflict and wouldn't pick either colour.

Overall he was just a really nice guy, very friendly and easy to chat too. I asked him if Chris Franke would be releasing a soundtrack for TLT and he said he would and that he had done an awesome job! Can't wait for that! I got 10 items signed in the end. And yeah at the end we went back round the signing area and he was still there. He invited us through the security barrier and we got to chat again and get a photo taken. As Worf said he asked the purple/green question and I asked "fresh spoo or aged spoo" and JMS said "exactly". Very Kosh ;)
Anyway here's my pics and a short video I took with the camera:

Pretty wrecked after all the traveling but it was sure worth it. Oh and it was nice to meet up with you Worf. Next time maybe we should invade New York and have some of those BIG STEAKS that Sanfam eats :p
And Worf, I really think in the back your hair IS longer than mine- LOL.
And Worf on film heh. Anyway congrats. :)
*looks at SataiCallista and at Dax* I wonder what your respective boyfriends would have to say about that ;)
*runs*
Worf
And yes, enormous steaks for those who do come over. mmm...tastes like happy.
Worf: I say "sucks to be you" :P Oh, the pain I've suffered! ;)
JackN: We live for the one, we die for the one!
Worf
haha- my bf read this and was just like "oh dear..." LOL!
I think any outsider would look at our forum posts and go "oh dear" :D
Yeah I did kinda think Worf looked like a ranger when he got dropped off by that Whitestar on saturday.
Sanfam that sounds like a deal. I do need to wander over to the US at some stage to see what its all about. With the current exchange rate a shopping trip to New York is very tempting. So B5 and steak will defo be on the menu.
and yes! We need an East Coast meet up! We should really make plans instead of talking about it. Croxis- jetblue is cheap- you should come too! (as well as anyone else who is not on the east coast and wants to)
Anyway, other possibilities *are* open. Callista has some absurd range of vacation hours (80?), and it looks like my summer will be packed with freelance, so we've got time to kill.
Edit: Also, the Sanjanwala B&B is always available for lodging, too :p
Tell me about it. I'm lucky I actually get paid vacation time, not all employers give it and from what I hear the rate of accrual I have isn't too shabby compared to others. That's 80 hours earned in one year and I'm just a low level cashier who's only been with the company two years. Other places don't even start the accrual until you've been there 2-5 years.
A couple of frineds and I was talking about that a couple of days ago too, and we couldnt figure out if the 1st of may was a holiday in the states. Is it?
It's not a Federal holiday, i.e. we don't get work/school off or banks closed, etc., but it is on American calendars as a holiday. It's just another ignored holiday like Flag Day.
I hate you....my accrual rate is like 6 hours per month if you're full time, 3 if you're part time. We can put in for our vacation or sick time to be given to us in money in our paycheck at any time but if we're fired we lose it. I don't know about quitting though, haven't looked into that.
