Anyone wanna sell off a kilt/accessories?

MessiahMessiah Failed Experiment
Im going to a wedding this summer, and thought this is the perfect time to finally get a kilt. Im going to get me a "Pride of Scotland" tartan kilt, and an Argyll set..

So, if anyone happens to have any of these (or perhaps another tartan), and would like to be rid of them, please let me know.. :)

Anyway, back to scifi, eh?

You can't just wear any old kilt! You have to wear one in your family tartan! Since you're from Sweden, I'm guessing you don't have a family tartan. :)

yeah lots of people in Nova Scotia wear kilts to their weddings and stuff... you should find out your family one or something :P check craigs list?

Thats why Im looking for a Pride of Scotland kilt, its free for anyone who feels a connection to scotland.

There are various tartans that are non-clan today. If youre of Scottish, Irish, Welsh or Scandinavian descent, youre even free to create a new one.

    Examples of non-clan tartans:

The tartans I usually wear are the Campbell clan's and the Isle of Skye. I can wear a couple of others through my mother's side of the family, but I can't remember them off hand, and I don't think I look as good in them either ;)

Hey ShadowDancer! Could you look around and see if anyone you know wants to sell of an Argyll set? Im 39" - 40" across the chest. :)

Campbell has great colours btw. Isle of Skye, Im not so fond of. ;)

Ive been considering creating a tartan for the gothic provinces of Sweden, and it might look something like this:

Spaceghost: Thanks for the link. Not something Ill wear for the wedding, but maybe later..

Dax: As far as I know (from my attempts at studying my family background), I dont have any connection by blood to Scotland after the 1500s (Thats as far as the records of my family lines go). Im pretty much Swedish/Danish through and through with sprinkle of Norwegian and German in between.

I have connections to Scotland from about 100 years ago. I even have a tartan, although I have no idea what it is.
