PURPLE!!!!!
You know, when one is colour blind it is rather hard to see which one is purple on that drop down list. And yes I know I could have just typed in 'purple', but out of sheer bloody-mindedness I felt I had to finish what I started!
*hugs croxis and everyone else who has had nice things to say about her*
Messiah: No, I am mature enough to know that this is just one insane person and not an entire forum. That being said, I am also actually in the place that JackN is in. Yeah I have had less time in my life this term but I also have been uber lurking because more because than half the new threads had some silly thing from Cable Guy in them and I felt that this yes a place for discussion but has gown down hill a bit.
I also heard that his banning-ness is only for a week and that one more infraction = perma ban but my vengefulness is telling me to advocate for a perma ban now since not only is he assaulting specific members (ie: me) but he has also contributed to respected members (ie: JackN) withdrawing.
SpiritOne: wow *blushes* thanks.
Again, wow you guys are all really great!! Way to make a girl feel welcome.
P.S. Sanfam: my computer apparently is just getting as hott as I am ;) and shuts down intermittently. It sucks. But there doesn't seem to be much that I can do about it now. A complete back up this weekend seems appropriate.
Try this Case Dax!

Also no one should go though that kind of junk. I know I've had my moments that people wanted to kill me, but I've never went THAT far. I'm not that psycotic... I hope...
I have my comp propped up so more air circulation gets to it but I think there might be something wrong with my video card. I downloaded a new driver but yeah...

Hey Dax I see that Trident is your biggest FAN
:D
Ha !!!!!

Laptops got coolers too (such as Antec NoteBook Cooler, Cooler Master Notepal, Revoltec Notebook Cooler RNC-2000, Thermaltake Tai Chi M, Thermaltake iXoft and Zalman ZM-NC1000) but they're pretty useless...
Random ChaosActually Carefully-selected Order in disguise
I generally just drop a nice 6" fan next to my laptop :)
Well let's see I've got...
3 desktops, 1 laptop. Heat never has been really problem for me because I do fan extremes on my systems. My newest computer has.... 4 case fans, 2 psu fans, hard drive cooler, memory cooler, cpu cooler, pci fan on the video cards (video cards are passive coolers), and all the air is pushed in, then I have a grill at the top of the case to push the air out. When it's hot I just stand in front of my case too cool myself down :P.
I just redid the cooling stuff on my 2nd desktop, new cpu fan, new four fans, and a new PSU (2nd one that's went poof) My new psu has 2 fans in it, and my case and cpu temp both dropped 10 degree's farenheight. Now once I get my memory, I gotta reinstall it... took me 4 hours to back up this thing.
My laptop I bought a cheap 20 dollar cooler. It keeps it fairly cool so I don't burn the hide off my legs.
Usually the problem with overheating I've found is no one cleans their case out, and the dust buildup acts as an isulator. I was covered in dust head to toe after I cleaned my 2nd system out. I'm afraid to clean out my oldest system.. it hasn't been cleaned for 6 years or more.
Random ChaosActually Carefully-selected Order in disguise
My desktop has 10 fans total: 2 front case fans, 1 side case fan, 2 rear case fans, 1 rear slot fan, 2 PSU fans, 1 CPU fan, and 1 video card fan.
As for my laptop, it stays fairly cool unless I'm running high processing power stuff on it for more than 10 minutes (which is rare). Then it just gets hot to the touch (around 100-110F or so). But I like to keep it cooler, especially in the summer, so I have a 6" fan I sometimes throw on it when I'm doing high-CPU use stuff.
I hope whatever Cable guy did can be forgivin or punished in some way. I missed this one.
With my computer fans I count 11. 8 case fans(4 inward and 4 outward), 1 PSU fan, 1 video card fan, 1 mobo chipset fan. I have never had any heat problems at all. With a miner 150mhz overclock/tweek I am keeping cool!
4 Front case fans, 2 rear case fans, 2 PSU fans, 1 side case fan, 1 CPU fan, 1 chipset fan, 2 video card fans (2 video cards :D ).
Everything is arranged for airflow from front to rear... Keeping it cool hasn't been a problem even under load, getting it to boot properly has been a thorn in my side for many months.
I remember when I was banned. I posted an image of dancing stick figure with Hitlers head. Made the germans go apeshit bananas. Declared jihad on me and when I replied back to their pissy fits they were oh so wounded. "HOW DARES HE! LETS KILL THAT MOFO! WE AINT NAZIS! BURN HIM!" etc..
Finally found something to see how hot it's getting. Running Guild Wars in SLI mode, I'm running at... 3.4 ghz DC (102 F) Motherboard (91 F) Card 1 (106 F) Card 2 (111 F) Does that sound cool enough or do I need to do more work?

That sounds fine.
Most CPUs can go to at least 60C without issues. Though it's best to keep them well under 50C to reduce errors. The colder they are, the less crashes you'll have.
nice, I've played since Guild wars was released got all three campaigns. Have to add you to my friends list. I got quite alot of in game names on people from firstones, just seems like they don't play alot because they're never online when I am. :)

What is his story, I always thought he's a bit juvenile or crazy, like me.. but more on the deep end. Not with high morals like me.
Ofcourse, I would draw a picture of Dax violating myself. :whip: :alndance:

Forgiven or punished? He's been punished but I highly doubt that he'll be forgiven.
