Here's a series I'd love to see again, made using modern production techniques and current trends in darker drama. I loved the book Trilogy as a child (It's one of the things that pushed me further into Science Fiction) and have had the chance to watch just enough of the british series to get a nice feeling of nostalgia going on.
And of all the above listed cartoons, The Centurions would have to be my favorite. They had the most toyetic potential, but nobody followed through on it. I would have loved some Centurion action figures! Power Extreme!
Oh, that woke up some memory wedged in a fold of my brain. IIRC, the Tripod series was also a Comic Strip running in the back of Boys Life magazine. I remember reading that serial with great interest, I think I also read the book at some point

The British Tripods series was, unfortunately, never finished - it never got past the end of book two. Such a shame, as it was actually really well made (aside from a brief stall at the castle). As with Sanfam, this trilogy contributed greatly to my early love of scifi.
Personally, I'd love to see a Tripods trilogy of long movies (LotR extended edition long) made. Peter Jackson, for example, would probably do a great job. What I don't want to see is an Americanisation of it just to get a series or movies; the British aspects of it gave it a lot of its charm.
