Leonard Nimoy and George Takei have such great senses of humour. :D

Spock says it's a weak analogy.

Which scifi race would fit then?
• RubberEagleRubberEagle What's a rubber eagle used for, anyway?
snakeheads ;)
• BigglesBiggles The Man Without a Face
Well, he is right. Klingons wouldn't be as dishonourable. :)

Ha funny!

I think Romulans fit the bill better. Power hungry and paranoid.
• LMAO...That is too funny!

heh, that was awesome! :D i love watching the daily show. there isnt that much american comedy that appeals to me, but i always try and watch it on tv if im in the flat :)

I think Jon Stewart and his gang are some of the funniest entertainers on US TV right now.

And what is even funnier is that they don't have to work that hard, they only need to turn on the news or CSPAN to find material.

You just can't make up this stuff. It's only human to do or say something stupid on live television. :D

Have you even seen the series? Klingons are dishonorable all the time, they just claim they are honorable.. :p

I'd say it depends on the Klingon you are talking about. Worf was very honorable, but you are right there are examples of other Klingons who were less honorable. Honor isn't as clear cut than say logic. :)
• If he had used Vorlons and Shadows I literally would have cried to sleep.

^^^^
Is that good or bad? :D

But I was thinking the same thing... I guess it's going to take another 40 years before Babylon 5 has reached all corners of the government. ;)

This is true. I think the analogy of Romulans is more suitable, though.
• MessiahMessiah Failed Experiment
Yeah, it would fit better, but noone knows what a romulan is.. Everyone knows what a klingon is.. :)

Cardassians also might fit well. Imagine if it expanded it to all of science fiction, though.

I love george Takei. It's too bad "Enterprise" wasn't actually called "Excelsior."
• Space GhostSpace Ghost Elite Ranger
That was great!

I'm happy to see that most of the cast has maintained their sense of humor about the whole thing. It would be really easy for them to be bitter about the past and not want to talk about the "old days". I think most of them realized that, like it or not, Star Trek is their meal ticket.
• BigglesBiggles The Man Without a Face
James Doohan was told exactly that by his dentist decades ago. Since then, he said, life was great.

looks like Chekhov is back in action! Allegedly George Takei is coming aboard at some point as well.
• SanfamSanfam I like clocks.
Allegedly? As far as filming goes, he's been onboard for a while now.
• Have you watched any? Just made it through the first episode. It might be the uncomfortableness of having to live up the original's actors but I kind of found it well unconvincing. But I did like the detail and the ost they use in perfect sync. Kinda wished they went unorthdox and used a unique score but its not my place to decide. Its still pretty bad ass its come that far and even MR CHEKHOV AND MR SULU!

Maybe you will have your Excelsior after all. ;)

TREK AIN'T DEAD YET!

Keep on going. It gets better. They switch to a unique score the second or third episode in. It works very much in the favor of the project as a whole.
• Reached episode two "Serve All My Days" Definite improvement and good to see Koenig back heh on board. Fontana really added so much more to Chekhov and made it seem much more political explaining the troubles the Federation as a whole went through. Pretty big Cliff hanger at the end. So far so good!

Also should note that the camp of the old trek is gone to meet a sort of new trek meets old trek.
• Space GhostSpace Ghost Elite Ranger
I actually thought "In Harm's Way" was pretty good. However, I agree that it got better in the next episodes.
• SanfamSanfam I like clocks.
as far as I'm aware, it's not a cliffhanger. Problem is, Pavel is back next episode in the preview. I hope it isn't a reset button incident.
• Your senator was wrong!
