And they say pc gaming is dead. HA!
My vote goes to Europa Universalis 3 only because I have been waiting for it for years!
I think i'll get that one atleast, for full price too..
C&C:3, Spore, Team Fortress II, Portal, HL2:Ep2, Alan Wake and ET:QW are the games I am waiting for. Still, there is no way some of those titles can be released in 2007, but I can wait.
I agree, some of those games may not see the light of day this year.
Not sure about Star Trek Online, they are going to have to do some amazing things with net code, prevent dial up users from playing or something else to make it work the way they say they want it to. Nothing more annoying than being in a ship to ship battle and one of your bridge crew logs off, especially if its something important in a fight, like your tactical officer or helmsman.
Haven't heard about Stargate Worlds, I know the Stargate FPS was canceled though.

I'm surely starting to believe it is happening very very slowly but very surely. I haven't bought a high end vidcard in some time since I haven't been gaming that much. My 6800GT was like ~$250-300 I think while it was still current which wasn't all that terribly long ago. I almost shit myself when I saw the newest high end stuff is $650-850! That will surely do a good job of scarring all but the hardest core gamers away. To make things worse a lot of high end games developers are basically abandoning support of lesser systems so they can go all out on the graphics. Thats lovely and everything but pretty much signals the end of budget gaming systems.
I also have to agree with everything Vorlons in my Head stated. Too upgrade my 1 1/2 year computer or buy a new one would cost about 2-4 thousand dollars (US) to play the latest and greatest. Of course there would be no promises DX10 will work smooth in HD after spending over 2 g on SLI 8800GTX's, HD monitor, and Vista(don't forget the cost of Vista Ultimate). Even after all that spending. Not just based on performance but the price difference will make gaming computers outta reach from the masses.
I came accross this info from Crytek the makers of Crysis , that amazing new DX10 game only.

It appears that they are aware the small audience for high end gamning PCs might pose a problem with sales. If the can port stuff obviously DX10 is not what it is claimed to be against a cell processsor or any other console engine. It is all to just sell a new OS to innoncent fun loving/seeking gamers.
Also, Vista won't support multi-monitors on home. You have to have business or ultimate to get more than 1 monitor, and that's utter BS.
Funny, there was an interview with John Carmack recently where he discussed DX10 and Vista gaming. To sum it up simply there is nothing that actually makes Vista any better for gaming. XP could do fine for 5 more years. MS is artificially enhancing Vista by offering DX10 only for it.
That may be true for Carmack, who programs graphics in Opengl, but for other developers the new features of DX10 may be more of a necessity to achieve true next gen results. And there are alot of people out there who unfortunately will judge a game by it's graphics.

"Those wishing to take the plunge into DX10 will also have to do so while upgrading to Windows Vista. Carmack, however, isn’t all that excited about upgrading to the new OS: “We only have a couple of people running Vista at our company. It’s again, one of those things that there is no strong pull for us to go there. If anything, it’s going to be reluctantly like, ‘Well, a lot of the market is there, so we’ll move to Vista.’”
Carmack then said that he’s quite satisfied with Windows XP, going as far to say that Microsoft is ‘artificially’ forcing gamers to move to Windows Vista for DX10. “Nothing is going to help a new game by going to a new operating system. There were some clear wins going from Windows 95 to Windows XP for games, but there really aren’t any for Vista. They’re artificially doing that by tying DX10 so close it, which is really nothing about the OS ... They’re really grasping at straws for reasons to upgrade the operating system. I suspect I could run XP for a great many more years without having a problem with it,” he said."
