    My Wife's cousin has been stationed back in Baghdad for several months now, It wasn't so bad his last tour, because he was in an engineering batallion, this time, he's infantry.

    Yeah man its serious now. Like I said before Democratic or Republican congress doesn't mean anything. One sides too scared to pull out the other is too angry not to. Yeah sure they say they want an end to it but wheres the effort? I don't see a single politician really organizing to fight it.

    There better be a Mcdonalds in Iraq and a few brothels or I'm convinced they don't have an exit plan.

    It is a terrible situation and I'm pretty sure they don't have an exit plan other than "keep going untill the Iraqis finally get with the programme".

    And I suppose this is not the last time he has to go, because there are still lots of places to invade, whoops, I meant to 'liberate'...

    For example Iran and North Korea.. Those are the *HOT* targets right now, but world isn't a safe place until USA stops being afraid different cultures.

    Makes you feel safe, doesnt it? The only country which has used nuclear weapons, is trying to develop new type of nuclear weaponry, has fought wars in other continents, thinks UN is useless, has great firepower, is able to run its war machinery for a year with fuel reserves, has a screw up as president and not to mention its citizens?

    No, the exit plan is to drag it out for two more years and leave it to the next administration to try to clean up the mess.

    I hope your friend stays out of danger.

    I really don't know why a build up would happen now and why it woudn't be stopped if so many felt so strongly. I think there might be more going on then what is stated by the politicians to the public.
