Battlestar Season 3 Tonight

HuntSmackerHuntSmacker Firstones Ambassador to Starcraftia
For those living in the UK, Battlestar starts it's 20 episode run of Season 3 tonight at 9PM on Sky One, with the extended opening episode. You might have torrented the show before, but I EXPECT you to tune in all the more! The show needs our support, and it's one of Sky's flagship shows.
And uh, after airing... It would be good if someone out there recorded it. Those Sci-Fi channel recordings are nasty quality. :D
Yeah will be watching it myself, again :D

Now this is weird, Sky 1 are showing the final episodes of SG1 season 10.... they are not scheduled to start again in the US until March/April! Very weird! Not often that happens this side of the water I can tell you.

    Oh and Huntsmacker
I agree with you those BSG torrents are not the best quality. Other torrents I get are now mostly HD ones and the quality is darn good. Shame for BSG really as HD would make the cgi so much more enjoyable.
season 3 is starting soon on HDnet. Its one of the HD satellite channels I get. The quality there is fantastic.

    It happened with Farscape... :)

It did? Which season was that for? Don't remember that.

Oh and it seems Atlantis is continuing tomorrow on Sky as well. Nice :D

The final season. The last episode aired on the BBC first. And IIRC, Season 1 of BSG aired here first too. It does happen, and has happened with Stargate before I think... It's been a recent trend over the past couple of years.
  • RubberEagleRubberEagle What's a rubber eagle used for, anyway?
it's a logical consequence of Sci-Fi's 6 month mid season breaks. (Though this year i think it's actually more than 6 months 'till they show more SG1)
While the UK (and Canada, i think) start airing the shows later, they show them without breaks, and thus finish before SciFi.

Spiritone, I've found all torrents for BSG have been none HD. Nice to see em being broadcast in HD though, albiet a bit late.

Huntsmacker, ah I had forgotten about that actually. Its nice to get stuff early sometimes, beats waiting 6 months or more like in the old days. I remember for ages we had Buffy and Angel on dvd release but not in the US. Took a while for them to get released there. Bit of a strange one that.

That is true Rubbereagle. But usually the likes of Sky take a break too and it has been rare in the past for them to finish before any US channels.

What has amazed me this time round is Season 6 of 24 starts on sunday in the US. Sky have got it starting later this month! Not bad going.

A lot of shows have run back-to-back with the US before, with episodes airing sometimes just days after their respective US airing. So it ain't all bad :D

Yeah true. It is gettin much better. For those who can get Sky that is.
