Quick addresses will vanish over time. It is a setting

They also will vanish any time firefox crashes. That's what bookmarks are for.

Saved passwords are horribly insecure. Never do that. And use bookmarks.

Yeah; only save passwords that you use for minor sites (aka, not ordering stuff).

My Firefox also throws away all my bookmarks and quicklinks every now and then. Not since 2.0 but still... darn irritating. :p

Edit your bookmarks and export them to a file on the desktop for safe keeping, recommended.

If you have problems with bookmarks vanishing, grab the Bookmark Backup extension :)

I love Firefox and I'm not changing away from it, but the fact that it even has such an extension sounds kinda' fishy to me. :D

Bookmark backup extension just makes a backup of your bookmarks every time you start, and keeps a backup for each day of the week. Thus, if you keep your browser open for several days at a time, you get several weeks worth of backups.

This extension's been around for years :) - since the beta's of Firefox.
